I think you can wear hats, you are just being too self-conscious about your own image. Anyone can wear a hat, it just takes a while for you to grow into that particular personality or style of hat. So wear hats often, and learn to get over your own self-conscious nature about your ears and nose because honestly no one gives a shit about your ears or nose. :P

Hey Aaron, cool video ! I happen to be a huge fan of hats. I usually wear the kangols/paperboy style hats. I wanna get a few fedoras though, so thank you for sharing your opinion on these.... i have a question if you dont mind : Could you give me your opinion on what type of hats i could wear with a suit or a nice dress shirt. i personally wear my baseball cap backwards. didnt think my iq went lower cause im a USC student lol but its a style for young people. its been a style for us ever since we saw the drummer from blink-182 start the trend. also, what is starting to get in fashion for us now are beanies. not just any beanies, but beanies with a ball on top with a scarf like things coming off the side. you should look into it:)

Flat brims are awesome as long as they are New Era. They go with just about anything and look good on long or short hair. You should only wear them if it suits your style and personality, in my opinion. Thats why mostly teenagers wear them like me :)

Baseball caps with flat rims look nice if you wear it without looking like a douche, they are mostly like for baseball teams in the MLB. They are usually like world series special collectible hats and people don't want to ruin the hat by bending it or taking the sticker off.

I wear a newsboy cap (the one with the button on top) with my double breasted overcoat and it keeps my balding dome warm in the winter.It's also easy to fold up and shove in my pocket.

Don't overlook the Cadet Cap, sort of a hybrid off of newsboy cap toward baseball cap. It is great for casual but more fashionable than baseball cap.

I think fedoras are mostly for people that like retro fashion (have a big respect for them) or emos, military hats are just plain wrong because you can't really combine them with anything, beanies are either for the gym during winter or they have to have a very nice design to wear them with something else. The only hats I wear are cowboy (pretty big here in Mexico) and baseball hats (sometimes)..driver hats are a huge no unless you're a golfer or 60 years old

Military hats-if it fits with the outfit and on you, it's the new thing, go for it. Beanies depend on outfit and occasion, I had one I wore with a scarf if in the winter and it looked great but please be picky! But if you are lucky and have a beanie made by Beanie (Wells) then you are awesome and get a rock star pass! Also, cowboy hats in a rockabilly outfit. Mine looked great with the outfit but bad on me so I stopped trying. If you're in that scene and can pull it off go for it.

I live in NYC, so I always see New Era fitted caps. People leave them on because they think it's cool. The reason they leave on tags and holograms is the same reason people sometimes leave the tags on their Timberlands. Just a matter of preference, but I doubt anyone in your demographic would wear them.

BTW, we don't wear many cowboy hats in mississippi, but it isn't considered bizarre. It helps if you're a bigger guy, otherwise the width of the hat looks goofy.

I wear a flat billed baseball cap because it looks cleaner. In urban fashion it's all about looking brand new and having a "fresh" cap and that's why they leave the tags and holograms. I don't leave the tags on but it looks a little raggedy when you bend the bill in my opinion. You gotta get out in the hood Aaron! lol!

I'm from New York, and we wear fitted Yankee caps in a variety of ways, tilted to the side and straight forward. Urban New Yorkers have been know to set fashion trends. I appreciate your fashion sense, but sometimes it seems a bit narrow and catered to only one audience. Just because you don't think fitted caps look good to the side, doesn't mean its not fashionable. You need to broaden your spectrum of fashion.

I'm from NY, so I see the flat brims quite often. We refer to them as FBA (flat brimmed asshole). People trying to act ghetto typically wear them, as far as leaving the sticker on, my interpretation is that its like a trophy, originally coming from gangs who stole them, and to show that they didn't pay leave the store tags on, or just that stupid sticker.

The flat hat is more popular for more I guess I'd describe it as "ghetto" style is for a different look. Usually those hats are a name brand or are special made for teams. They are worn with a longer t-shirt baggier jeans and sneakers.
