so does that Utsuro Bune really looks like a Japanese woman?

"utsuro-bune" means "hollow ship". according to the legend, the fishermen of hiaroto-no-hama compare the ominous craft to a "kouhako" (a traditionally, lamp-shaped incense-burner). the name of the woman is unknown, since she spoke an unknown language and understood no japanese. after several fruitless trys of conversation the woman climbed back into the utsuro-bune and simply flew away.

@UFOBevy no problem. ;-) the legend says, that the woman wore red hair with white extensions, had red eyebrows, greenish eyes and a pale, silk-like skin. the clothes were smooth, kimono-like but made of fabric untypical for the culture and epoque of this era. the lady carried an ominous box of woodlike material that shimmered. the woman guarded the box and allowed no one to touch it, no matter how dearly or pressingly man begged her. Saying it "washed up" implies a disabled ship. So does the idea that the people looked inside to find this woman. Seems there would be much more recorded of such an incident if it were a UFO.

This is very interesting. There are European middle age paintings that also show ufo' , predating this by hundreds of years.
