you guys are arguing over a technical difference. the main issue here is instead of approving and promoting a totally natural and safe sweetener like stevia, the fda is approving a known toxic poison like aspartame, and actually attacking and even banning the natural alternative stevia! Aspartame and Sucralose(Splenda) are both detrimental to your health. Do further reasearch and you will see. Real Stevia is the answer. Grown from a plant, not Truvia or Purvia or Aspartame, or Sucralose< Splenda, or Equal. They need to take them off all markets.

Sucralose(splenda) is a derivative of table sugar and formed by selective chlorination method. Aspartame on the other hand, is a methyl ester of the dipeptide of the natural amino acids namely, L-aspartic acid and L-phenylalanine. Both of these sweeteners are white in color and come in a fine powder. The chlorine composition of sucralose makes it particularly dangerous as chlorine is highly reactive element. Whereas, aspartame may produce highly toxic methanol after the process of hydrolysis.

Surcalose may be as bad as aspartame but it is NOT the same thing as aspartame.

They are NOT the same. I have done the research. I also know that I could not ingest splenda/sucralose if it were the same as aspartame. The crippling headaches and impaired vision would keep me from functioning!

@Texazhaze - Splenda does NOT contain aspartame it contains sucralose, big difference (and I'm reading the label right now)

I would not be able to consume splenda if it had aspartame in it. I get Violentn horrible headaches when I ingest aspartame. My vision gets screwed up when I have aspartame.

That does not happen when I have stuff with sucralose (splenda).

You should be careful about saying that splenda contains aspartame when it doesn't. That company could consider that libel.

@Jrnygirl67 That company has more to worry about than a few non factual postings in here. Do your research, for Splenda, really SUCRALOSE is chlorinated sugar. It too is not good for you. Simply GOOGLE in Sucralose or Splenda, you will see the side effects, not very pretty ones at all, never the less factual and true.

it is very easy to fight this , to all parents , start checking the laveling of all product you by, do not let your kid , eat candies , make your own candies at home , it is very easy , take care f your children, avoid aspartame, and do not take the swine flu vaccine , it contains mercury , it kills people !!!
