  • When I first saw these scores, I was like C: But how come some of the songs like Mario Galaxy file select or Fairy Fountain you didn't do videos of?

  • Would love if you would do another batch of these, I desperately want to learn Rainbow Castle but none of the sheet music is as good as your arrangement :(

  • thank u soooo much for the sheet music1

  • Best. Birthday present. Ever. <3

  • Thank you a thousand times !! You're the best Aivi !!

  • i suddenly recognize that 2:07 "Space Junk Galaxy" sounds like "Zelda: Twilight Princess - Midna's Desperate Hour" ;)

  • Can't wait to hear the full version of Dire Dire Docks. I heard it come up and thought, "Wait a second... I've never heard her do *this* before!"

Keep up the amazing work :)

  • YAAY! The Boss battle from Lylatwars! My favourite one of the battle themes in the game, my favourite one of your arrangements and the only one that I've had serious trouble with playing by ear... Maybe sheets can help me out a little! Thank you for all of your hard work and talent and for the inspiration you've given me and all of the other video game/piano players out there. ^^

  • Holy Crap! Its awesome to find someone else who has a passion for arranging game music on the piano! ^_^ Although you're wayyy better than me! Keep inspiring :D

  • Thank you so much for posting all of this! My printer is having a meltdown from an overload of awesomeness and sheet music printing. xD

  • So beautiful :') Also, will you ever upload the Song of Healing & Great Fairy Fountain? Just hearing a couple seconds of it sound amazing.

  • WOW, I wanna marry you right now!

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I remember back when you still did the Gateway Theme for me as a Request

  • You rock so, SO much. So few Youtube musicians put out arrangements of what they play. I don't know how you guys do it; I die a little inside whenever I see "played by ear, so no sheets. If you can't figure it out yourself, you're a disgrace to musicians everywhere."

Okay, I made that second part up, but playing by ear is hard! My progress is so slow; it feels like the kind of thing that simply can never be learned if you can't already do it. v_v

Anyway, thanks so much for the sheets!

  • I don't actually play piano but I appreciate this nonetheless =D

  • Thank you very much, Aivi! I really appreciate it!

  • and also thanks for doing dire dire docks and fairy fountain! a lot of us have been waiting for you to play these!

  • I'm following you for a long time, and i'm still enjoying your videos. I just wanted to send you a huge thank from a far place from you, in France !

  • BTW Dire, Dire Docks sound beautiful!

  • I never saw a video on Dire, Dire Docks.... :( I want to!

  • thanks a lot i've been waiting for a lot of these!

  • I taught myself to play piano many years ago by playing the different songs from the Legend of Zelda series by ear. (Yay for my nerdiness! XD)

Since then I've taken formal lessons and such, and I play daily, but I don't think I sound nearly as good as you! I love your music, and you give me the inspiration to get even better. :3

  • I read "Wait for Lulz" first :D

  • Where's gusty garden??

  • Soooooo glad I subscribed just yesterday. Hello favorite YouTube channel!!

  • did christmas come early? :D

  • Well, I've died and fell in sheet music heaven....

  • I tried out the Boss Battle 2 piece from Starfox 64, and I think they might be a few mistakes in the intro; I think the right hand should be up a semitone.

  • Super awesome! you make me want to learn the piano

  • I'm pretty sure you're the only subscription that i still watch.

  • Thanks a lot! Watching you play is awesome, but now being able to play your arrangements has got me quite excited. Which one to choose first, hmm...? hehe

    Thanks again! :)

  • thank you for your music, you inspire me.

  • this is cool :D

  • 2:41

    ...Sidescrolling, and Ganon's Trolling!

    Sure, this title's....*Ends*

  • no score for the piano trio of the CC forest? :*( anyway, how long did it take you to get into sibelius, and how long did it take you to get into notation software in general before that? i keep procrastinating that stuff for ages. great work on this.

  • @Verdegrand Re: Shadow's End Forest - yeah, sorry! I wrote out the full score first, while I was sequencing a MIDI of it for vgmusic.com, then afterwards just derived the piano parts to perform it.

Re: Sibelius - I've been using it since I was 16, so I've had a long time to get familiar (and super fast!) with it... I've been paid to do Sibelius tutoring sessions before, haha. You should get into it, Sibelius is really user-friendly and the scores turn out beautiful.

  • @waltzforluma thanks for the reply, i think i'll just have to start using that stuff and it's gonna have a learning curve like every other piece of software too. sounds good that it is user-friendly.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! All of your arrangements were wonderful, and beautifully played! I really love you and your music. Please keep posting music 'cause I can't stop listening to it! <3

And, I actually have a playlist called "Aivi Tran", I listen it while I make homework and before I go to sleep.

    Yup, I'm sort of a stalker :)

    Much love! <3

  • Gateway galaxy... ;__;

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great, thank you so much, but why not Piano Fantasia??! It's the greatest piece :)

  • @vpliaadnoo I'm glad you like it so much! The Piano Fantasia was semi-improvisatory, and I know my fingers were bouncing around and hitting whatever notes they felt like grabbing, so the thought of going back to analyze what I was freely playing is a bit unappealing. Plus, the piece is 4 minutes long with little repetition, so it'd be a long score, which means many more hours of dedication - plus it was a gift. So that's why :)

  • Thank you very much! :) I'm very glad to have the sheet music now. :D

  • your hard efforts are very much appreciated. don't feel otherwise aivitran =)

  • I thank you as someone who uses your transcriptions constantly. You are amazing.

  • Thank you Aivi! You are amazingly talented and show great dedication to your fans! I really appreciate this =)

  • You play very well! The VG SCORE PACK is a good idea ;)

  • Thank you so so so much!!! Ô____Ô <3 wow my day starts awesome :D

  • I really cannot state how great it is that you go through all the trouble of posting your sheet music up. It is truly appreciated and I really cannot wait to see what you do next =D. Great job!

  • Even though I don't play the piano, I still enjoy listening to your arrangements.

  • Can I play any of these on piano? Probably not. Am I glad she posted the scores? Hell yes!

  • Thx alot, i never heard the dire dire docks before, i absolutely love it

  • HA! wow!! you are amazing! thank youu!! :)

  • Where's Rainbow Castle ):

  • @Aznspear27 As it says in the video description, no arrangements from 2011.

  • @waltzforluma That's actualy the one I'm waiting for the most haha. But it's all good, I've got a lot of practicing to do first.

  • You're my hero. I've gotten about halfway through conquering your arrangements... this helps the process tremendously.

  • thanks so much! btw, what kind of keyboard do you use? cause my mom wants to sell my piano sadly cause its taking up space, but i still want to play. What keyboard do you recommend? is there a keyboard that was the same feel as a piano? no too stiff if you know what i mean.

  • @iciiciban i think most of her videos have the piano model listed in the description.

i have a yamaha p95 in my dorm room that i like a lot, the action is light but the return is still plenty fast. i've heard it described as one of the cheaper keyboards whose action/samples are still reasonably realistic. i suppose it depends on how much you want to spend of course, if you're willing to drop the cash you can get a keyboards that's pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing.

  • Your compositions tug at my heart strings.

  • Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64 becomes Jolly Roger Bay from Banjo-Kazooie in the links? Small problem?

  • @TheMusicalException And in the title of the actual score :P

  • @TheMusicalException I don't know about "Banjo-Kazooie" but Jolly Roger Bay is right! Its official title is "Dire, Dire Docks" but I've always called it Jolly Roger Bay, and didn't feel like going back into the file and changing the title and re-exporting the PDF and re-uploading it onto the server, etc.

  • @waltzforluma Hmm... Turns out the place/song in Banjo-Kazooie (another N64 game) is actually Jolly Roger's Lagoon, slightly different I suppose :P

  • Thanks Aivi Tran for putting these transcriptions up! Your work is deeply appreciated.

  • Wowww, this is a LOT of work! How inspiring! Way to please your fans, and get some writing experience in the process =P.

Now, if only I were better at reading sheet music. Hah!

  • can you not be awesome

  • I can't believe it! You finally transcribed your Super Mario Galaxy 2 main theme cover! I've waited so long for it. ^-^ If only I had the time to learn it now though, since school started. Better late than never! :D Thank you Aivi.

  • I can't find your Fairy Fountain video :( How come it's not on your YouTube channel?

  • @9AlexB6 Like it says in the video description - I also included scores that I wrote but never performed :)

  • @waltzforluma Whoops, didn't read the description :P Thanks for the quick reply, I really appreciate all the videos and work you do for us!

  • Thanks! :D

  • Thank you so much!!! The Song of Healing has got to be my favorite Zelda song!!! You're amazing! Keep it up!! THANK YOU!

  • Thank you so much! You truly are dedicated to pleasing us aren't you? Thanks for all of the hard work you put into this. I'm so excited to be able to have the sheet music now. You are one awesome person. :)

  • @KnucklesE Thanks, I really appreciate it!

  • I know you did Planet Wisp in 2011, but I'd LOVE to get the sheet music for it. It's such a lovely song ^.~
