Believe it or not, we're just using good old fashioned video editing software. With the exception to the backgrounds, all movement is done frame by frame in a picture editor. Luckily, we are able to use the video editing software to make the backgrounds move, and the program has a "green screen" feature that allows us to remove the areas around the characters before we overlay them onto the environment. Hope this was helpful.
