They are both top amps. The 100B is far away from being dark, that attribute is more apropriate for the 101B or the Shiva. The 100B is a bright amp and cuts well too, but you have to be able to tame it, as it can be too much. The Steavens clean is thicker than the 100B, which is thin and crisp, the Poundcake clean is more fat and juicy. However with the 3 band EQ and the 3 boosts you can come a long way on the Steavens.

What do you not like about your Mk1?

  • Hello, very good sound..I had the MKII 50W but it doesn't have this great sound. What speakers in the cab?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

In the cab I have a G12H30 and a Vintage30. I haven't played the MkII, but I think it doesn't have as many boost options, that might be why it is a bit less versatile, especially on the clean channel.

  • Excellent. Great tone

  • That just one from four channels on the ampli? It is very variable, and I like how the sound!

  • Yes, just channel 1 here. All 4 channels have the same flexibility with the boosts. All can be saved via Midi. Check also my other vid with some channel 3 and 4 riffing.
