There are wires attached to the back of the nail and running under the table. The candles are placed so you cant see the back edge of the table. Under the table is a battery and switch. Every time he lights the candles or blows them out one of his hands reaches under the table, behind the candle on the right, to flip the switch. 

NICE TRY, IT WILL NEVER WORK!! if you look at 2 CANDLES at 1:10, notice the nail position and REMEMBER IT!!! now scroll the searchbar till you come up to 1:30 the nails have moved in further more, exposing the nail points on the back of the candles to hook the battery on the nails with the switch on one of the wire, making it look like it actually works, sorry but you are not going to fool anyone unless you take the camera and do the walkaround on your project, or get a life magician wannabe :P

I tried this yesterday when I was very board and guess what nothing happens, I attached my multimeter instead of a lightbulb the reading was 0 even when the multimeter was set to 200 mV I wasn't surprised, However I got an unstable reading of around 30 mV when I touched the nails with my fingers which proves that my little finger has more power than that. :)

You can see his hand flinch as he turns the switch on as he lights second candle and as he blows them out. The wires are picking up the current by induction.
