ya know im kinda surprised that earth those not have any planetary defenses if they had it would have given enough time for the evacuating ships to leave earth with very minimal casualties
they actually setup a defensive line away from earth to stop the kerek but were annihilated pretty easily. i think it was more to escape and survive because they lacked the firepower
