Defending the Greeks is like defending the French or Polish, not like defending the Germans.
You are being the hypocrite. You want sympathy for Germany after WW1&2 but never mentioned the millions affected by the wars which Germany started. Germany waged war on almost all of Europe to take their land, and when they lose the war and their own land as a result, they want to act innocent. War is like betting double or nothing.

WW2 didn't start, Hitler continued the first world war his German ancestors started. It should be called "World War part 2" or "World War second half" not WW2. Germany started both. Serbian Extremists did, backed up by Russia whom - as Benjamin Freedman explains in this video - were allied with England and France whom wanted to knock down Germany. WWI was a self-defense war for Germany and the Treaty of Versailles was grossly unfair and everybody knew it. WWII started because England and France gave Poland a war guarantee none of them could honor and why did they do it? Because they wanted a war with Germany, period.

There is mounting evidence that Russia had a hand in the assassination because they - together with France and England as Benjamin Freedman - wanted to slap down Germany from the political scene in Europe. Germany started to mobilize only after it was clear that Russia held Serbia's back and would support them in case of a war.

WW2 started from a madman. Germany knew England and France had a pact with Poland, and they attacked anyways. So they technically declared war on all 3 countries. Besides, France and England (like you said) never honored the pact with Poland. They were attacked anyways.

It was a matter of self-defense since Germany was not the aggressor - England and France (and Russia) were, hence Germany had to defend her self and that means what - self-defense. It was originally a German-Polish conflict, a matter of German territory which the Poles gained out of nowhere from the Treaty of Versailles, and which the Germans wanted back. France and England turned into a World War by allying with Poland without any regard for their own national interests. They wanted a war. They were war mongers. Period.

Plus if Hitler didn't attack Russia, Stalin wouldn't send two barely trained soldiers with only one gun to defend. Stalin was to blame for 20 million Russians who died PRIOR to the war, and deserves blame for the poor strategy during the war, but not as much as Hitler, who actually waged the war.
Germany was fucked because they waged WW1. Self-inflicted wound.

Stalin was bent on conquering Europe and painting it Red BEFORE Germany preemptively attacked in 1941 - see the research done by former GRU-agent Viktor Suvorov for instance. WWI was not started by Germany - it was a war of self-defense.

Germany had no real interest in either of these countries, but it was a matter of strategically securing them for the campaign ahead. Other Axis powers might've had an interest in Greece, but not Germany. Germany had two objectives in WWII: secure the German territory stolen from them by the corrupt Allied powers and given to the Poles and the Czech after WWI, as well as defending against Judeo-Bolshevism.
