Gene is a an absolute fantastic drummer,he taught Dave Lombardo how to play proper double bass drumming. Gene is very underrated in alot of metal circles taht i've come across...I saw Strapping back in 2003 & I never missed them since their last show in Toronto in 2006. Gene before he goes on stage,he probably smokes a couple sick joints & a few chilli cheese dogs!!! \m/ , I mean Gene's gotta drop a few pounds while preforming at the levels he has over his career.

Gene is one of the most picky drummers ever and is so incredibly consistent. There's a reason he's known as the Atomic Clock.... but i do agree, he is underrated. and as far as his weight goes, i remember reading an interview of his once where he said back when he was drumming in Death he was down to like 250, and that his doctor says he's actually in excellent shape (heart and such) for his size... and his knees are fucked and that drumming actually makes them feel better...
