  • I like your interpretation. Very nice!

  • C major ?

  • Wah *-*

  • can you play the second movement?

  • @supermec131 NO! you know nothing about piano. it is a level 4 song. i play piano myself and i am level4.

  • I loove this song :) I have just starting at learning it one hour ago, I'm in love with ittt :)

  • Happy Birthday Wolfgang ! and thank you fo recording and playing this piece

  • Comment removed

  • enjoyed this - thankyou for recording it

  • with all due respect this is terrible; bad technique, arbitrary phrasing, weird tempo and dynamic changes - just follow the score. this piece is definitely too advanced for you...i could understand if this was an early attempt but it doesn't seem like it and needs a LOT of work. mozart is easily one of the hardest composers to play correctly, where is the balance clarity grace playfulness etc.?

  • @pguitar13 pedant

  • I think that might be a tad tricky round the trills.

  • nice technique ;)

  • I envy you, I'm playing this piece right now and I can't get quite as fast as yet

  • Very beautiful!!

  • beautyful.

  • Wow your good!

  • YOU CALL THIS A DAMN LITTLE SONATA?!?

  • @MinecraftNow2218 you mad?

  • Excellent!

  • it's not really hard, especially if youre good at scales. theres a lot of modified scales in it.

  • Nice CMajor

  • playing is ok. page turn is better...lol

  • Thumbs for impressive page turn ;)

  • I used to play this. :)

  • @mandabear1o1 me too, a long time ago :p

  • great job

  • once you know it it is a little sonata :p

    but until then...have fun ;)

  • 2:01 Like a Boss!!!

  • took me 3 monthes just to learn the first few phrases slowly. now this? impressed, a masterpiece indeed, but a master mess for me. :P

  • I think I'm in love <3

  • How do you do those scales? My fingers just trip over each other.

  • this is awesome :3

  • Bravo and well done! :)

  • er...

  • I can finally play it! It wasn't very difficult :)

  • usa el pedal! amigo

  • You have an Henle Urtext Partition

  • Is the partition from "Henle Verlag" ?

  • You have an "Henle" partition, no ?

  • It's so funny the way he's turning the page!!!!!!!!Nice job!!!

  • "a little Piano Sonata for beginners."

A LITTLE fucking sonata for BEGINNERS!?

  • @fede7aq Mozart : Trolling aspiring pianists since the 1700's

  • @lousycactus Jajajaja

  • @fede7aq it really isn't nearly as hard as it seems. I learned it when i was about 8. the only part i wasn't to good at was 0:06

  • @fede7aq

    It IS for beginners!

  • @supermec131

Watch Horowitz play it and tell me "that's easy".

  • @aeopmusic

Don't be ridiculous... there's a point in which being a master makes little difference.

And whatever, if you can't play it, you can't.

  • @fede7aq Well, in retrospect to how accomplished pianist become, even (or especially) back then, this piece would be a beginner's piece. Contemporary has become extremely simple and easy, leaving people with an impression that this is extraordinary. Comparatively, this piece is easy.

  • 13 personas tienen el sentido musical atrofiado. Sigue así!

  • Bravo!

  • Brilliant (:

  • It is so beautiful, you have much talent!

  • I can never get the trills!

You play very well, by the way :)

  • your technic is great!!!

  • Sry thers no feeling i can that play better and i am 14 years old

  • @viclover100 prove it post your on vid, unless your just another cunt talking shit man up or you aint got no balls and a penis the size of a womens clit..

  • I dont really seek out classical stuff, although i encounter it in games and i enjoy it in that context,no doubt that will get me a sneer from true classical artists, but some of the stuff is really good,i particularly liked Dance of Pales from symphony of the night an earlier game, the soundtrack to this game should of won awards.

  • Very good!

And turning those pages is a pain in the ass.

  • Good! How do you do the trill

  • Good!

  • Wow! My piano instructor told me it was supposed to be an easy sonata. Perhaps to some. :( I started working on this three weeks ago. It's coming along a lot faster than I anticipated, so perhaps it is easier than it seems. However to play it like you would take some time indeed! Awesome performance. Thanks for sharing your talent!

  • Magnífico!! la estoy analizando en Tema y variaciones, y el mejor que ha tocado eres tú!! Mis felicitaciones.

  • Jealousy sucks.

  • Is it lower than usual?

  • @marioflowers 415 maybe?

  • Comment removed

  • This is AWESOME!!! You play it even better than my cousin(and she's been practising it for WEEKS(poor thing, she needs it for a recital))

It would be really great if you came over and gave her some tips ^w^ (lolz)

  • i learned part of this on the guitar a long time ago now to learn the rest lol

  • Excellent performance!

  • i cant wait for my piano lesson! uhmm am i too late upon enrolling? im 16 now

  • @nathanmidori

No, I start playing last year... now I'm 19 and I'm playing this very well. Never is late for anything. No, I'm going to do this the rest of my life and I'm very proud and happy of my decisition. Just keep playing =)

  • guys tips on playing left hand to coordinate with right hand? anyone with tips? im hardened up on playing left ut my right is very good!

  • Fantastic skills, but Mozart's simplicity (structure wise, not in technical ability) bores me. =/ Can you play any Chopin? Or Stravinsky?! =D Or perhaps even Leo Ornstein! =o

  • Very clearly. I don't can play it better.

  • great ;) ..

  • every day i watch it , is so good!

  • must impressive man i want learn it some day !

  • You play so nicely :)

  • beautiful. your light motions over the keyboard really capture the overall mood of the song. you added the appropriate emotion while keeping with the classical style. well done! (just keep practising. . . i noticed multiple slips!)

  • ...iii would practice this slowly. if i were you.

  • god good. try to go a little slower.

~piano yamaha su 118 (piyamasu) (see model on google).

  • In how much time did you learn this piece?

  • beautiful!

  • so smooth and wonderful :) :)

  • You play so wonderfully! How do you play so well? I'd like to play this... it is my favorite piece!

  • kool vid. i'm just learning this piece.... check out mi vid. LOLZ! i only played lyq half the first movement tho...... LOLZ!!!!!!!

  • You play it quite nice but it is far to proffesional. It's Mozart you cant change tempo ! It isnt equally and you make to many slow pieces.

  • Your trills were a little faster than your right hand, and it needs to be equal. But otherwise sounds very good!

  • Very nice !!!

  • This is why I wish I was 6'3" lol..... more reach makes piano so much easier. not saying you haven't had to practice but you're lucky to be born with fairly large hands

  • oh !

yo estoy sacando esta pieza de mozart

    me encanta !

me gusta como interpretas las piezas(y)

    saludos

  • 10000 hours is 417 days... i think its only about 1440 hours, i mean, 60 days including sleepin, eatin, going to the bathroom and half a day playin piano

  • I can play that song and I'm in the 5th grade.

  • @barMan331 tats grea --; noone cares

  • Lovely.

  • I just love the mix of wonderful music and (mostly) insightful debate on your channel Nyk. It's a joy. :-)

  • Pro. Consider doing an original sometime? I'd love to hear it.

  • How do you make your brain control both hands at the exact same time? My cognitive deficits in that area prevent me from accomplishing such a seemingly simple task.

  • seemingly simple? No way matey. When people learn, the hardest thing is always putting 2 hands together. Simple? Not a chance. Putting 2 hands together is not a simple task.

  • @Kittyrebeccalai ohh ok, I had thought my ADD/Brainfog was preventing me from doing that.

  • @XeonProductions

    1. practice right hand only

    2. practice left hand only

    3. practice both hands together , very slowly at first, then speed it up as you learn the peice

    4. Do this over and over for about 10,000 hours

Not to say, that everyone should do this. But it's not simple, it's highly complex and takes a lot of practice, although certainly it's a skill that comes more easily to some than others.

  • I applaud your talents, again.

  • That was flawless. Incredible.

  • Wow - for BEGINNERS?! I got up to grade 4 and couldn't play this well. Standards were obviously higher in Mozart's day!

Very well played, lovely to listen to and watch! <3

  • its actually grade 5 (according to my teacher.) I just passed my grade 4, and I asked for a fast piece as a fun piece after my exam. This is what I ended up doing This will take me years! XD

  • Wow - and it was supposedly for beginners according to Mozart?!

I stopped learning at grade 4 because I was doing school exams and didn't want more exams on top of that. I wish I'd kept it up now but at least I got good grades! lol

  • VERY good. My daughter is learning piano.. but we're still at the "hedgehog song" stage. And NOT Terry Pratchett's hedgehog song.. =)

Once more great to hear nice music well played.

  • This is fantastic, Nyk

  • nice.

  • Excellent job! This is something I would like to learn how to do myself. Great job.

  • Love your performance videos! Consider this an official request for Beethoven in the future!

  • I love you

  • Excellent.

  • WOW floating hands :O

    oh MY GOODD!!!!!11!!!1

  • NIce nice good job Nykytyne2!

  • how beautiful!

  • lol some of those page-turns seem to be in super inconvenient places! good job at keeping the pace. excellent playing, and beautiful piece.

  • Bravo! I am a huge guitar player, quite the intermediate. But this makes me want to throw down my guitar and get on a piano! I might think about lessons..

  • Ah, Mozart. Beautifully played.

  • You're very talented! That was some epic page-turning!

  • Great playing! My Mum used to play this all the time.

  • Nick! I had no idea! Beautifully done!

  • A lot of his works he said were for amateurs, like the horn concertos...which are fucking hard as hell!!!

Do you think he was being humble, delusional, or joking when he says this piece was for beginners? Or maybe performers were better back then. Any musicologists out there?

  • @saladshootavvv: I think its the same kind of idea when a mathematical genius solves a problem of multivariable calculus with ease then says "easy, anyone could do it". Its a delusion, lol. Because someone is so incredibly talented, they find it easy and so they can't imagine how anyone else could possibly find it difficult.

  • Delicate and sparkling!

    Thank-you!

  • Amazing

  • awesome shit i loved every second of it.

ow and the page turns where truely heroic dude :)

  • Very nice.

  • Nykytyne - will you have my love child?

  • back off, hes mine!

  • He's mine..

  • So good that I almost forgot to rank it!

  • I had to learn that as a child but I could never play it like that - lovely.

  • i understand absolutely nothing about classical music nor i listen to it, but that was really good. i enjoyed that a lot. nicely done Nyk you have some serious skills ;)

  • Spidy fingers.. =0

  • loved it sir, thanks A LOT.

  • How did you learn to read the notes so quickly? Any particular tricks or was it pure determination?

  • you sir, are a wizard of great skill and rank.

  • That was amazing how you turned that page so fast (as well as the rest of the piece xD).

  • I just love when you do these kinds of videos. That was absolutely beautiful.

  • Beautifully played!

  • restoring my love of youtube... thank you!

  • :: claps ::

  • Brava good sir. I wish I had time to pick up piano again.

  • That was really quite lovely. I enjoyed watching your fingers dance across the keyboard; it was like ballet. It appears you introduced a bit of accelerando near the end, or was I imagining that? If I did not imagine, is it traditional to do so, your choice, or is it indicated in the notation?

  • the classical equivalent of an epic guitar solo, am i right?

  • As always great job. I love this piece.

  • love this shit--i can play it while i study

  • i love the piano. It has such a calming effect on me. I wish I had someone play the piano for me right before I went to bed at night and early in the morning. I wished I would learned to play early on. Maybe one day =P when I have time I will hire someone to teach me. Thanks for the little performance Nyk, it was very nice.

  • Your page turns turn me on

  • Pardon my ignorance... but how long have you been playing Nykytyne? This was rather superb.

  • or the cadbury flake advert music from the ame decade.?????

  • can you do the cigar advert music from the 70's, castela i think it was, awsome shit.

  • well played

  • very talented

  • awesome!

  • Great job!

  • in awe. =)

  • I wish I had the patience to learn things like this. Music is always much more rewarding when you've played it yourself.

  • /applaud

  • Nice. I think your piano also sounds like it's around A 430. 18th century Austria would approve.

  • Damn, that page turn was impressive!

  • The second and third movement are the best! I hope he plays and records them before I do!

  • you think your hot shit dont ya.

OH YEA, well try loading a UPS package car in less then a half hour tough guy.

    5'd as always

  • Sweet!

  • Awesome.

  • what is the title of your music album going to me?

  • going to be? grammar fail

  • Turkish March is my favorite Mozart piece.

  • Mine is all of Symphony 40 g-moll.
