one of my favorive bass rifs of all time TT. is an incredible bassist you play well but you missed alot of octives and small fill ins ive te record another ear and i'm sure you'll learn them but all around very good fast movement with your fingers keep that up. face the camera next time to.

nice buddy. one of my favorite all time bass lines and you really played it well. it took me quite a wile to figure this out because this bass fiff is much harder to play then it looks those octives are tough especially when you are playing quick funk. nice playing buddy and a great choice by using a musicman as i do.

I mean no disrepect, but the fingering is way off! If you listen to the change you will hear notes that are 1/2 step or even diminished where they should not be. But hey, at least he's praising the funk. Keep funkin brother.

cheers mate Im in my late 40's and used to play slap funk (level 42)style we actually did a cover of that that song in the early eighties but I used a pick I had to stop through ill health (lasted twenty years)but ive just started again (mid life crisis!!)I think I know what FU means (we don't use it for that in England .... if you know what I mean) Flynny

Who did "We Got The Funk"? Positive Force did it. There's so much 80's funk bass that it keeps me up for hours playing along. As a new bass player (long time Saxist), I find it hard to play everything "clean". I keep getting a buzzing type sound that is bugging me. Perhaps I need a better bass or better strings.

Sounds like your action may be set too low. But if you have an inexpensive bass it might be hard to set it correctly. Have a pro look it over and get their opinion before you drop cash on a news axe. It may be "fixable".
