Excelente... muy buena gráfica y con bastantes detalles. They sacrificed themselfs for their loved ones, that is a last resort that leaves the families in more loss that the loss of a single plane and man. -captprice117
@LivinEarthP During the end of the war Japan was no longer fighting for imperialism. Or at least it's citizens weren't don't know for the leaders. But they believed that if America won, then we would wipe out the Japanese people. They were sacrificing themselves to save their culture, friends, family, their way of life. All they held precious was in jeopardy. They willingly gave their lives to save that. People in any culture would do the same, maybe in a different manner, but still the same.
@LivinEarthP No, late in the war Japan was no longer trying to build an empire. They were fighting for what they believed was their very survival. Now today everyone knows that the US was not going to rape, pillage, and kill, but then the Japanese thought we would do those very things. So as Japanese resources became scarce, they put out a call for anyone willing to sacrifice themselves for the Japanese way of life and the people of Japan.
@LivinEarthP They were people who willingly gave up everything to save Japan itself. Though Japan was in no real danger of being wiped out, they believed so and offered their lives to prevent such disaster. Self sacrifice is not uncommon in Humanity. Giving up your life for the survival of the group is seen in almost every culture. And the Japanese though that they would all be killed, so those few willingly set their lives aside to save Japan and the Japanese culture.
@SteelGunner4104 hahahahhaha you have been believing that stupid stuff that all kamikaze pilots were so patriotic they died for their homeland and yelled Japanese Empire forever before they died?
@LivinEarthP You ignorant moron. Did you not read my comment? The Japanese people believed that if America won, they would be raped, killed, and their culture destroyed. The didn't know that we would instead rebuild their damaged nation and set them in the right direction. The Kamikaze we're people who were willing to give up their own lives and dreams to save those of others. They we're people who put others first.
@SteelGunner4104 you are so dumb as fuck like that fucking idiots who still believes the great Empire of Japan! Hahahahaha go fuck your self you stupid motherfucker
@LivinEarthP I don't believe in the "Great Empire of Japan", but I will respect the soldiers who actually believed they were fighting to save their homeland from certain destruction, whether it would have happened or not. I'm not saying they're heroes, but that they deserve respect. We should not shun the actions of others just because of their allegiance. That does not mean I respect those who raped, pillaged and stuff like that, nor does it mean I'm for the Japanese cause.
@SteelGunner4104 Tell me why koreans were used to forcefully be a kamikaze pilot, in the process in which his family was at stake if he missed the American ship.
@SteelGunner4104Japan took korean refugees and forced them to become soldiers and "slaves." Just saying for a fact -Japan- thought that they could win the war and rape, kill, and destroy the American culture. Not the opposite. The Japanese government made it seem America wasn't even a worthy opponent until they lost the most famous "battle of midway." That's when they spread gay rumors to the Japanese people about America. No offense but your right but in a way I don't agree. Japan was agressive
@joe117pwn I don't disagree that the Japanese leadership and a percentage of the people were messed up, but there's also those who were just victims of propaganda. They actually believed they were fighting a just cause or they just wanted to protect their family. At least those should be respected.
@martintlc1 yeah but why did they die for? They've been teaching their kids that They threw their life away for their "Gorgeous" Japanese empire and Emperor. That's such a bullshit. They had to do this shit because their army made them to do it.
@LivinEarthP The army did not make them do it. They volunteered their lives. Yes in America we don't believe that we should just ram a plane into an enemy ship to save our nation, but Japan has a different culture. The believe differently than we do. The Kamikaze was a self sacrifice, Americans would do the same if our nation was about to fall. Yes we would go about it differently, with soldiers staying behind to let their comrades get away to fight again.
@LivinEarthP I'm not trying to say that the Japanese were right or anything, I'm just saying that these were all people as well. They shouldn't be considered low just because they were on the opposite side. At least take the time to imagine what it would be like in their position. You've grown up in a nation about honor and duty. The nation is at risk of being completely annihilated. If the enemy wins, Japan will be no more. There is a call for people to sacrifice themselves to save Japan.
@LivinEarthP You, having been raised believing that America will wipe out the Japanese people if victorious, join the Kamikaze to save all that you hold dear. You are doing this to save your devastated nation and to save your friends and family. Again, not trying to make them look like the good guys, but they were willing to sacrifice everything. Just try to remember the other side's culture before condemning them.
Sorry but glorifying Japan back then as some type of "heroes" is just fucking stupid. I love Japan and Japanese culture but I don't let that pull a curtain over my eyes to their Imperial ambitions that ended in the occupation of countries, genocide and rape of innocent people.
@BushidoRei Not all Japanese were like that or supported it. Saying so would be like saying all German soldiers agreed with the Holocaust. Yes Nazi Germany started the Holocaust, but does that mean all German soldiers should be considered supporters of it? No.
To me, the Kamikaze pilots were not untrained teenage boys. They were men of courage and they are symbols of people willing to give up everything they have, nothing short of their lives for what they believe in, their country, family and their government. I'm a 16 year old and i can say, i would not have the guts to pull this off.
So..... chinese people speak different languages (btw, no, it's called "dialects". Japan has different dialects too) therefore they are different, and therefore Kamikaze is cool....??????
I wonder what went through the minds of those young men as they flew their planes into their intended targets? Also the music made this quite somber I like it.
@ultrajd They knew they were fighting for something greater than them. They were true soldiers, 'til the end. They were, unlike the Americans, fighting for leaders they loved with their lives and trusted to be completely true to their ideals. For that, for their empire, for their Emperor, and for their families they dove with all their strength.
@LeeroyJenkinsstudio "They were, unlike the Americans, fighting for leaders they loved with their lives and trusted to be completely true to their ideals. For that, for their empire, for their Emperor, and for their families they dove with all their strength."
The closet thing you said to being right is about their families, they would have dishonoured them if they refused. They didn't love their leaders or empire and had their own ideals. They would have been executed if they refused.
@1Dougy85 No shit, sherlock. Japanese pride in their strength and their empire goes all the way back further than World War II. It continued to the modern age along with their honour, while Americans ran away from the glory of the British Empire and instead chose genocide, mob-rule and thuggery.
@LeeroyJenkinsstudio Well well well. A British loyalist. I thought your kind died off years ago. Best you watch your back in the playground if that gets out.
As for no shit sherlock, I thought you meant the kamikaze created the banzai, sorry. Those students were more toward running away from Japanese pride, strength, empire and old tratitions like the samuri and slitting their own guts out of honour. The alternative, execution and dishonouring their families is why they submitted.
@1Dougy85 So, you're admitting you have no point to your argument and you're simply basing your ideals off of 'what-ifs' and what YOU would do in that situation, rather than face the fact that people actually love monarchy over mob-rule?
@LeeroyJenkinsstudio Never said anything about my ideals or any what ifs??? I never said what I would do in any given situation? Didn't know we were having an argument.
If you're asking if i prefer monarchy over mob rule, it depends on who's the monarch and how angry the mob is.
I prefer constitutional monarchy and hopefully representation of the the people, or mob, democratically.
@1Dougy85 An argument does not mean shouting, you know. An 'argument' can also mean one's perspective or dialogue. But, then again, you would have known that if you were in an education above that of Doctor Seuss.
Kamikaze's spirit is the separation between normal soldiers and soldiers who would die for their country. Your country may have the greatest weapons and machines, yet you could not win the war if your men do not have these spirit in mind.
One cannot be "brainwashed" into sacrificing his life. He that loves his family and country enough, will do this as a last resort effort of preventing total annihilation.
Japan had NOTHING left. They knew once they got taken over, their women would be raped, culture torn apart. There would be nothing left to protect. The kamikaze were elite pilots that chose this path at their own will. These are people that would rather cut their stomachs open than be disrespected.
@muzeitgeist Well Japan was taken over, and their culture is still alive and strong, and the population was treated relatively well after the take over, so what are you talking about? Even the emperor was left in place.
@Weridism Ok, but I also take issue with your claim that they chose to be kamikazes of their own free will. In my understanding, they usually had little choice.
@muzeitgeist yeah elite pilots :D pilots wit no real combat flight were send out on kamikaze missions. yeah right elites :D most of them werent older than 19.
Still I give my respect to them since they died for what they love!
"These are people that would rather cut their stomachs open than be disrespected."
And they were also people that would cut open the stomachs of Chinese while still alive on operating tables without anesthesia. Read up on Unit 731. I'm not commenting on the patriotism of the Kamikazes however what was going on at Unit 731 in China makes Auschwitz look like Club Med.
@muzeitgeist The Kamikaze were not elite pilots. Most were taught only to take off and maneuver and not the type to cut their stomachs open but university students conscripted to die for their country. They had their own plans for their future lives but refusing the order to serve was unheard of, understandably. There is a book about them and many left their writings and thoughts behind. Elite pilots were valuable and for combat, not killing themselves, few were left at the end.
@muzeitgeist Kamikaze's werent elite pilots. On the contrary, they were they result of lack of proper aircraft to counter the ever increasing quality and numbers of the US planes and lack of time to train effective pilots. Read the book ''I was a kamikaze'' read by a would-be kamikaze that never found the US fleet to crash into. A very interesting book to read!
@ouimaisnon100 Perhaps they were not elite pilots by training, but they were elite warriors of the soul. It was a voluntary act of suicide, that rendered the material body inferior to the eternal soul.
@muzeitgeist Not to disrespect the Japanese fighting man but you shouldn't romanticize war. The kamikaze pilot was not an elite pilot. Japan resorted to the kamikaze because of the lack of elite, trained and experienced pilots. By the end of the war, Japan lacked even the resources to adequately train new pilots and so, with nothing else left to stop the American advance towards Japan, they resorted to the kamikaze tactic.
@muzeitgeist We would not rape lol mainly try to prevent the war! And hopefully there will be a day with no wars where Germany and Japan say "STOP!!!! we've been here we've done this. And it does NOT work out!!!"
think of yourself sitting in that plane thinking i am gonna die for my family and my contry by crashing my self into a ship say then they are not brave i bet you woud have shited your pants
sad alot of these kids DIDNT volunteer they had to be pushed onto the planes after hella peer pressure...freggin 16 and 17 year olds kids...so pathetic ad shameful!
Hirohito took advantage of kamikazi pilots. They were told to do so and they would have an honorable death but realy he was just using them as a military strategy he didnt care about honor.
its amazing watching what they do, to protecting their country, at least they died in honor, to defeat america, Honorable Work. in moments, time ago i thought german and japanese soldier and pilots died in honor, RIP all the lost souls of WW2

The alternative, execution and dishonouring their families is why they submitted.
1Dougy85 10 months ago
@1Dougy85 So, you're admitting you have no point to your argument and you're simply basing your ideals off of 'what-ifs' and what YOU would do in that situation, rather than face the fact that people actually love monarchy over mob-rule?
LeeroyJenkinsstudio 10 months ago
@LeeroyJenkinsstudio Never said anything about my ideals or any what ifs??? I never said what I would do in any given situation? Didn't know we were having an argument.
If you're asking if i prefer monarchy over mob rule, it depends on who's the monarch and how angry the mob is.
I prefer constitutional monarchy and hopefully representation of the the people, or mob, democratically.
1Dougy85 10 months ago
@1Dougy85 An argument does not mean shouting, you know. An 'argument' can also mean one's perspective or dialogue. But, then again, you would have known that if you were in an education above that of Doctor Seuss.

Kamikaze's spirit is the separation between normal soldiers and soldiers who would die for their country. Your country may have the greatest weapons and machines, yet you could not win the war if your men do not have these spirit in mind.

Seriously how badly human must be brainwashed to do stuff like this? :s
MrKzaaz 1 year ago
@MrKzaaz
These are people that would rather cut their stomachs open than be disrespected.
muzeitgeist 1 year ago 45
@muzeitgeist
Japan is nothing to be compare with Germany Japan were real Warriors fighting their own war.
2Gonzalez2 1 year ago
@muzeitgeist Well Japan was taken over, and their culture is still alive and strong, and the population was treated relatively well after the take over, so what are you talking about? Even the emperor was left in place.
Ilikelink 1 year ago
@Ilikelink The pilots would not have known that things would turn out as they did.
Weridism 1 year ago
@Weridism Ok, but I also take issue with your claim that they chose to be kamikazes of their own free will. In my understanding, they usually had little choice.
Ilikelink 1 year ago
@muzeitgeist yeah elite pilots :D pilots wit no real combat flight were send out on kamikaze missions. yeah right elites :D most of them werent older than 19.
Still I give my respect to them since they died for what they love!

Why is there nobody in the west who pay such kind of sympathy to the killed Chinese men and women during the war?
kalasend 11 months ago
@muzeitgeist
MGR1900 10 months ago
@muzeitgeist The Kamikaze were not elite pilots. Most were taught only to take off and maneuver and not the type to cut their stomachs open but university students conscripted to die for their country. They had their own plans for their future lives but refusing the order to serve was unheard of, understandably. There is a book about them and many left their writings and thoughts behind. Elite pilots were valuable and for combat, not killing themselves, few were left at the end.
1Dougy85 10 months ago
@muzeitgeist explain to me then why koreans were used as kamikaze pilots??
joe117pwn 10 months ago
@muzeitgeist Kamikaze's werent elite pilots. On the contrary, they were they result of lack of proper aircraft to counter the ever increasing quality and numbers of the US planes and lack of time to train effective pilots. Read the book ''I was a kamikaze'' read by a would-be kamikaze that never found the US fleet to crash into. A very interesting book to read!
ouimaisnon100 10 months ago
@ouimaisnon100 Perhaps they were not elite pilots by training, but they were elite warriors of the soul. It was a voluntary act of suicide, that rendered the material body inferior to the eternal soul.
Avondland 9 months ago
@muzeitgeist Not to disrespect the Japanese fighting man but you shouldn't romanticize war. The kamikaze pilot was not an elite pilot. Japan resorted to the kamikaze because of the lack of elite, trained and experienced pilots. By the end of the war, Japan lacked even the resources to adequately train new pilots and so, with nothing else left to stop the American advance towards Japan, they resorted to the kamikaze tactic.
77thNYSV 8 months ago
@muzeitgeist We would not rape lol mainly try to prevent the war! And hopefully there will be a day with no wars where Germany and Japan say "STOP!!!! we've been here we've done this. And it does NOT work out!!!"

Hirohito took advantage of kamikazi pilots. They were told to do so and they would have an honorable death but realy he was just using them as a military strategy he didnt care about honor.
