Estimated cost of the Iraq war, $3 TRILLION. For Iraq alone. Not even counting the war in Afghanistan. The United States has been spending without limit fighting 2 illegal wars and they want to cut funds for the EPA, research, education, and other domestic projects because we are in debt. WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE.
I think when the United States took off economically, Europe was is a similar situation where it was top dog but could no longer be because of backwards thinking. The same will happen to the united states and as the new economy shifts to Asia, the population there is very high and they are capitalizing on a knowledge based society, that can literally material things out of thin air by means of greater efficacy/efficiency in their supply lines.
Ah fuckit then, let's party till the house burns down around us. It's all about shopping, voting, eating and fornicating! Then we can laugh as our spoiled kids are forced to scrape a living off a blasted, irradiated wasteland. Hey kids, your parents and your grand parents.... they hate you... they want you to die in resource wars while they sit back and watch it all on TV. They want you to starve and roast on an oven earth as they watch on from hell, laughing. Die screaming you fat lazy kids.
Republicans aren't about creating jobs for poor people, they are about keeping their own jobs (i.e. unearned income).
You don't need any subsidies on 'green' energy (like efficiency and renewables) if you eliminate the subsidies on carbon-fuels. Energy prices will rise to their market level and make 'green' solutions financially attractive.
People should defend 'their piece of the pie', the problem is the underlying premise that the 'pie' is finite, and that you should eat bad pie.

Right, 'rules' like the bill of rights, the ten commandments, 'stiffle (sic)' your 'inalienable liberty' to stifle other people's inalienable liberties, hense they are both lawful and necessary.

The role of governence is not economics. Our government has very specific roles and should not stray as to prevent empire. Rules and regulations stiffle your inalienable liberties and freedoms, hence they are not lawfull nor necessary.
Revolt with no blood: Buy phys silver w/ fiat dollars, crash their funding source & the elite master's plan. (they ain't ready for this kind of attack) Let them eat their own fiat money, starve them of your wealth.

Why is this administration beating down 1st responders budgets? They will eventually, in desperation, run to 'government' for a fix - that is when Obama can ('national emergency') federalize the police, further eliminating states rights Then 'he' has centralized control of the police, not the states mayors and governors? Write your 1st responders -wake them up
Your situation gets worse & the czars get more and more power over the US Constitution
EPA, FDA, FCC, DOE, DOT, TSA etc. quietly getting massive funding + massively expanding while 1st responders et al -getting budgets/pension cuts. Obama's 'civilain' army he promised. By-passing our legislative branch of gov - making laws by decree to control your movements, what u 'hear', ur food supply, ur water, medical needs/records, confiscate ur wealth through fees, taxes and currency controls & soon ur guns. Every month the czars get more and more power over the US Constitution.
The interviewer maybe needs to brush up on her TV interviewing skills but other than that she's knowledgable - though a little overly keen to show us that - attractive and has the required gravitas. In time I think she has it in her to be a great iinterviewer and face for TRN, I hope she sticks with it.
I recently spent about an hour with an oil executive. We talked about a lot of things but one that surprised me was that in his experience the oil companies actually WANT a harm tax, as it's called here. This is becuase there's a suspicion that in the years to come, when the costs become more apparent, these companies could be called on to pay; this leaves these companies with what they might call "an unknown but potntially infinate liability". They'd much rather get it out of the way now.
@tangent272 Genuinely interesting, but its "infinite" with an i! (That and "definitely" mis-spelt as "definately" are things I have trouble letting pass. God have mercy on my soul. :) )
