I saw them Sept 1 in Carbondale, IL and was blown away. Being at this one and seeing all that destruction must've been epic. This was Pete's last show before leaving the band. Apparently this wasn't planned. I bet it pissed off Paul.

I was at this show. It was awesome but sad as well. You could just tell something was messed up. After the show, I stood there looking at the stage destruction even as the crew had started tearing down. I kinda said good-bye to an almost 30 yr. run. I have seen KISS 36 times and this was the last. I will NOT buy the new cd nor attend any concerts. I said when I was a kid my mission was to see the original KISS and finally after the reunion, I did. And this was my last KISS! It was GLORIOUS!
After reading the book by Gene Simmons, "KISS and make up" I would want to destroy my drum set to. If one word can describe why that band broke up the way they did, it would be "greed."
I think I'd destroy the Drum Kit with Peter too, even though I wasn't the one playing the damn thing. There's just something cathartic about wanton destruction of an inanimate object.

Says you, Excalibur. Says you. Fact is, they were both absent on albums even in their heyday. Ace will be remembered for being a drunken bum who got a second chance with the real members of KISS, Gene and Paul, and PISSED IT AWAY AGAIN. It's time to let go of Ace and Peter. They are never coming back. Ace didn't carry KISS. He wrote some great songs for them, but im pretty sure they could have gotten by without him.

Peter criss was KISS' WORST drummer by far. He's been dining out on beth for 30 years. His solo stuff sucks! ERIC CARR was THE kiss drummer of all time! Peter and ace are both drunken,drugged up losers who needed KISS more than KISS needed them! Fuck Peter and Fuck Ace!

Without Ace Frehley, KISS would never have been KISS in the first place. No one talks about Paul Stanley's guitar skills at all. 50 years from now, when people look back and ask "who was the gutiarist for KISS?", they will only remember Ace Frehley.

I was at this show. It was awesome but sad as well. You could just tell something was messed up. After the show, I stood there looking at the stage destruction even as the crew had started tearing down. I kinda said good-bye to an almost 30 yr. run. I have seen KISS 36 times and this was the last. I will NOT buy the new cd nor attend any concerts. I said when I was a kid my mission was to see the original KISS and finally after the reunion, I did. And this was my last KISS! It was GLORIOUS!

@Bassgod76 Good Riddins...Peter has the biggest ego in the biz...besides Gene the only difference is that Gene has an excuse to have one...Peter dosent. Peter never had the "IT" factor that Paul and Gene have ...even Ace has his own it factor to some degree...Peter never could write anything worth listenig to. Beth was a nice song for easy listening!

@Bassgod76 Peter may be an original member but he gave up Kiss for booze and drugs. The guy didn't even show up to record the tracks for the songs on his last album. Ace Frehely on the other hand may have done the same thing but HE was Kiss, he had the charisma, the skills everything you need to be a rocker. Too bad Ace left.

Why in Kissology 3 they call June 27,2000 in NJ the "Last Kiss"??
Criss smashed his kit because he was pissed, funny how Gene & Paul just run Ace & Peter down in the ground in the Kissology series, oh well. Kiss always re-writes their own history, like in "Extreme Close up" they said they took off their make-up because after playing Rio in 1983 where else can you go?? Fact is they were slipping in reocrd sales and had to do something or they were dead, but they will never admit that.

Actually it's classic, he use to do that in the early tours, I think he did it untill "Alive!", I think he did it this time because it was the last show of the Farewell Tour and he wanted to bring that nostalgic vibe to the Fans, he did it always in Black Diamond, Peter Rules!!!!
