Great video. I`ve never read up on what happened to little James....I know he suffered an awful death! Its irrespective of how old the murderers are, I believe life for a life. I don't fully believe that their up bringing made them do this. I personally think this was planned out, the nature of the crime is graphically hard to comprehend. Will James's parents be able to forgive, ? Will they ever understand what happened, no. Know body ever will and this may end up being the hardest thing to live with. Neither Jon or Robert have been sent to Austrialia. They are on UK life lience which means they are under watch from UK parol boards as often as four times a week. Why do the public need to know? The courts chose to grant them new identities and anonymity. Why do you want to know their identities? They're not the first murderers to have supporters. Just look at all these serial killers who have groupies that go to their court hearings and write them letters. It's mind-boggling. I wonder if they would feel the same towards the killer if one of their family members was a victim?
I don't agree with saying they deserve death. I agree if it's a serial killer who keeps offending without remorse but not with a one-time offender who can be rehabilitated. They should be locked in jail for life You take a life you give your life by being put in prison and reminded of your crime forever. We're punishing murderers by putting them in jail away from society. By killing them it's not teaching that murder is wrong because the government is doing it it's showing it as justified.
It's just repeating the same act and displaying it as positive. Countries that don't have the death-penalty also tend to have less crime. Killing them would be too easy. You would be putting them out of their misery. They should be reminded of their crime forever. They should be locked in jail for the rest of their lives and the parents of James should be able to confront them and let them know the anguish and pain they've experienced. In the end justice will be served by the lord, though.
We don't have the death penalty here and the crime is really bad. Kids go round shooting and stabbing people all the time. Liverpool lost another child to murder not so long ago who got shot walking home from playing football. Its getting worse and something needs to be done.
I was just using my country as an example so I wasn't too sure about that. That's why I said that all one-time offenders should get life in jail. When a person is sentenced they should stay in jail and NOT released for "good behavior". Just because they behave well in prison doesn't mean they will when released back into society. The parents of these boys who killed this poor little boy need to be blamed, there are so many people who have kids and dont take care them.This would never of happened if the parents had been looking after these 2 killers, you can read about the whole story on the web site crime libary.Those witnesses should have done something, there are too many people just wrapped up in themselves to care about anything or anyone.

I don't fully believe that their up bringing made them do this. I personally think this was planned out, the nature of the crime is graphically hard to comprehend. Will James's parents be able to forgive, ? Will they ever understand what happened, no. Know body ever will and this may end up being the hardest thing to live with. A lot of people wanted blood initially and maybe some still do, but the rest of us are left with a sickened feeling when this case is mentioned.

Neither Jon or Robert have been sent to Austrialia. They are on UK life lience which means they are under watch from UK parol boards as often as four times a week. They are not allowed to leave the UK at all and will never be given passports. Both are in Notheren England. One in the North West and one in the North East.

How dare they get granted anonymity and a new life when they so viciusly took James' life. They feared for their lives, and rightly so. Why do the public need to know? The courts chose to grant them new identities and anonymity. Why do you want to know their identities? I could understand the Bulger family wanting to know and face them but why do you feel everyone else needs to, when it's nothing to do with them. It was the court's decision to release them early because they felt that was the right punishment for what they did at their age. Releasing their identities is only going to start more violence and mayhem.

CONTINUED...They sent these convicted child killers back out into the community with new identities, putting the children in their new communities at risk. Even if the court deems it a low risk, it's still a risk. If they were capable of such a horrific crime at 10, what could they be capable of as an adult?

CONTINUED...In California now, 'Megan's law' grants the public access to the details and whereabouts of convicted released paedophiles, because a released paedophile moved into the same street as a young girl called Megan. Her family were not told of this, and unfortunately, Megan was raped and killed by that paedophile. If the community had been warned, it is likely she would still be alive.

People need to know about this injustice so that they can put pressure on the court to reverse its decision. This is a dangerous precedent to set, because the message it sends youth is, if you kill someone when you're a child, don't worry about it too much, because you'll get a new life when you're released.

CONTINUED...Also, I believe Denise did want to confront Robert Thompson because she apparently acted on a tip-off from a friend who passed on his whereabouts. She went looking for him, but when she seen him she was paralysed with hatred, and couldn't do anything. I am also led to believe that upon their release she requested a meeting with her son's killers (for why, I'm not sure) but the court denied her request.

CONTINUED.... If they truly are remorseful, upon release, they could express their remorse to the public, but more importantly, to James' family. It might help in the healing process, and in the process of forgiveness, or it might not. The public may be willing then to let them move on with their lives, but if they were to cop some abuse, I think they need to grow up and accept that as a natural consequence of their actions.

I seriously doubt anything they might have to endure could be as bad as what James suffered through anyway. In gaining new identities, they had to forget their old identities and leave the past behind. I don't ever want James to be left behind and forgotten. So, for James and his family, I will continue to fight for justice.

Also, apparently Denise, when she actually saw Robert on the street, wanted to scream, "Why did you kill my son?" but she was paralysed with hatred, and nothing came out.

Yes, I realise that, but they need to understand that they angered a lot of people with what they did. People reacted the way they did because they felt that they had not served enough time for the crime, and that justice would not be done if they were released after only 8 years. It was a reaction to the the court's decision, and the court should have listened to the public, and kept them in jail for longer.

To this day, many, many people flood the memorial websites for James echoing the belief that they should not have been released so soon, let alone given new identities.

CONTINUED...Society was not ready to accept them back into the community at that point, so they should have been kept in jail. The courts were so concerned about the killers' right to life, but they seemed to forget that they had no regard for James' right to life. They should be grateful for every day they breathe air, and as far as I'm concerned, nothing they might have to endure could be as bad as what happened to James anyway. I agree that if you take a life, you should get life, and not 25 years either, but LIFE. What sort of message are the courts sending by granting them anonymity and a new life; that you can kill someone when you're a minor because they'll wipe the slate clean? It makes me so sad and angry, and I intend to let as many people as possible know James' story.

Nobody knows those things are actually true. If these tabloids that released this information knew this then they would know their new identities and where they are now. I'm sure the tabloids wouldn't hesitate to release that information either. The same tabloid that said that Thompson was a homosexual a few months later said he was living with his live-in girlfriend and then it said he got married to her. It shows how unreliable these sources are.

I know many people won't agree because a lot of people are for the death penalty and in some cases I am too. They're entitled to their beliefs. Having two relatives victims of homicide I have experienced the pain firsthand myself. I wasn't trying to change your mind about it, though. I was just typing my opinion. Thanks for being so understanding. It's such a shame they only got 8 years and in those years they were able to go on trips and get treats.

They should be locked in jail for life You take a life you give your life by being put in prison and reminded of your crime forever. It's just repeating the same act and displaying it as positive. Countries that don't have the death-penalty also tend to have less crime. Killing them would be too easy. You would be putting them out of their misery. They should be reminded of their crime forever. They should be locked in jail for the rest of their lives and the parents of James should be able to confront them and let them know the anguish and pain they've experienced. In the end justice will be served by the lord, though.

We don't have the death penalty here and the crime is really bad. Kids go round shooting and stabbing people all the time. Liverpool lost another child to murder not so long ago who got shot walking home from playing football. Its getting worse and something needs to be done.

I was just using my country as an example so I wasn't too sure about that. That's why I said that all one-time offenders should get life in jail. When a person is sentenced they should stay in jail and NOT released for "good behavior". Just because they behave well in prison doesn't mean they will when released back into society. This story is just tragic beyond belief.
