Other than Pretty In Pink, I've seen James Spader in Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhall from around '02 or '04. He was a terrible prick in that movie too. And if he's played other nasty bastards in 80's movies, then wow, what a great talent for portraying bad rotten bastards

He is! I love him in that movie "Hiding Out" where he goes back to high school to escape some gangsters. And my other fave Jon Cryer movie from the '80s is the one where he falls in love with Demi Moore: "No Small Affair".

I also love him in "Pretty In Pink", but I hated the fact that Andie went back to Blaine at the end. I would've chosen Duckie for sure.
