  • I AM ERROR

  • Am i the only one noticing that Shigeru Miyamoto's name wasn't listed in the credits?

  • @Mocita A lot of the Nintendo staff credited themselves by nicknames.

Miyamoto himself, went by the handle of "MIYAHON", who you will find credited as the producer.

  • @Mocita He's also credited in the first LoZ as Miyahon. It's because another reading for the character in "moto" is "hon." Many of the names listed in the early games were nicknames. Sugiyan = Tadashi Sugiyama, Yamahen = Yoichi Yamada. Once it became apparent that your name in the credits was serious business, that practice mostly faded away.

  • for those who think this game is really hard use cheat codes...jejejejeje, by the way who ever made this vid, de congrats.. you are amazing, thanks for th tips.

  • aaannndddd that guy is a motherfucker

  • I've just started playing this game.. I have a feeling it's going to take me MUCH longer.

  • i never finished this game when i had it. now i know how the end went thanks for the uploads i cant even remember how long ago i played it, i think i was in like yr 3 at the time

  • Hardest Zelda game ever.

  • I just skipped to this video.

  • Time to impale Zelda's upside down triforce.

  • omg I cant believe how easily he beat the shadow at the end. When this game came out, It took me like 2 months to beat it, but that shadow was a ROYAL pain in the ass. I stood toe to toe with him and fought him the hard way. lol Had I only have known how easy it was haha

  • i can beat this game pretty fast, but definitely not that fast. nice playing

  • Why is the sound composer's credit an anagram of his name?

  • that was really anti-climactic...

  • You did a great job. On another note though, I think the game looks boring, I'm glad I didn't own it as a child.

  • Dammit. I got this for NES and made it to the 5th last room before dying. I was so mad I never played it again, and still haven't.

  • I watched the whole playlist and I think the most amazing thing is you never got knocked into a pit. That was always my downfall....pun intended. WOOOOOAHHHHHH!!!

  • i playd this on a snes for some years. this version was a bit different, you lose nearly through every hit "exp points" and you lose mana when you get hit through this flying energy balls (faces).

ha, .. i died in front of the last temple by the jump over the whole *lava-caves* ^^. But i beat this game this year- february on an emulator. (dont think bad.. have the original snes game). but on this emulator it was pretty easy.

5* for the uploader.. for the idea

and a thumbs up for the runner.

  • They ported this game to the SNES? For real? Btw, some of the monsters take xp in this game, and the fireballs take magic. ;)

Pertaining to the run: It only takes like ten more seconds to fight him away from the corner.. sheesh. Amazingly fast gameplay though.

  • i mean NES !! yes seems that the game was to hard for some guys, the original jap / euro/ int game is bit different from each others !!

when you play that game that my uncle have (european or us version, .. i dunno) you would lose a finger so hard is that and yes .. you lose xp and magic be hit from this rat´s with a dagger, energy balls, and at the end from the red / blue ravens.

thats why i never made it, not for those jumps .. for the overall mobs and those guys !!

  • man I just wish someone could've seen this boss fight when I first beat our shadow link. That was an epic battle. downward and upward thrust, crouching stabs galore. man I loved this Zelda and Link finally gets his kiss too

  • tbh out of all the zeldas i hated this one

  • Epic! This is maybe my favorite nes game. I go back and beat it once a year. I thought I knew it all. Thanks for teaching me some new tricks.

  • that music is the greatest

  • agreed totally!

  • I still remember this playing this level for the 1st time. Somehow managed to beat that idiot flying boss for almost all my health and on my last life. Was so relieved the game was over, so i waltz into the Dark Link battle thinking that. Got owned in precisely 2 seconds and had to start the last level over. Went and buried my head in the pillow for an hour. Horrible.

Beat him 2 days later, great game :)

  • Comment removed

  • It takes this guy a little over an hour to beat this game. It took me close to ten years.

  • @melosebrainuhoh And I never beat it...missed some key and didn't fel like going back all over again

  • Wow, they actually implied they kissed. How sweet!

  • I remember when I beat this game. What a cheap ending!

  • That's excellent. I hated this game but you rock at it.

  • link saved the Zelda up next the bed

  • how many times do you think this person played this game?

  • 2 thumbs up and a standing ovation are needed. That took some skill. I actually ended up yelling at my screen noticing some short cuts you took while playing.

    Great job

  • The final boss is extremely hard. A lot of people can't beat him without using that little trick.

Anyway, thanks for uploading. This is one of my favorites. I never appreciated it when I was little, but once I started looking for games that offered a challenge, Zelda 2 became a gem.

  • this is a pretty good game...to bad the ending (last boss) isnt to great, its to easy..but other than that its good.

  • you're a true motherfucker!! thumbs up man! amazingly done, oh btw I suscribed! now ive got tons of videos to watch, what about speedrunning SEGA Genesis games?

  • wow link dont hide that crothet tiger

  • Ahh, I remember those days. When you go into town and talk to everyone and you find people that say "I AM ERROR" and "SORRY, I KNOW NOTHING." Wow, those were the days.

  • Regarding "I AM ERROR"

Ya know.....my "BIBLE" translated into "My name is Error". Lol

  • You make everything seem so simple lol, I remember dying countless times before beating Dark Link.

  • dark links debut lmao

  • WOW seeing that gold palace gave me nightmares of my childhood. I spent so much of my time going to that place, and dying and starting over.

  • Hahaha... nice. :)

  • great run! watched all 9 parts!

  • SHIT i hate the giant slime that comes down and scares the shit out of me at 0:12

  • do you know why they use a "Dark Link" for the last boss?

  • Well it's could be a debut for an upcoming game or there is a reason you can probably look it up... but in the end it's pretty cool though haha

  • Holy snap Dark Link was so easy...yikes

  • Have just notice that this is the only game where link gets some for saveing zelda.

  • its so crazy to me how you beat the game without dying once......

  • I still never saw someone battle Dark Link as I do. I am looking forward to finish my own run to show you all! ;)

  • Very speedy! But for a real challenge, try finishing the game with the "minimum" requirements... you do NOT need the Candle, Cross, 4 heart containers, or the odd spells (Shield, Life, Fire, and Spell) to complete the game -- and on the 2nd play-through, you won't need the Hammer, either... granted, this is insanely difficult to do, but I've pulled it off (took about 14 deaths, though).......

Another challenge? Finish with stats of 8-8-1, with Life being 1. I did that too (again, dying a lot!)

  • I did it too when I was younger. I also did it with 1-8-8. It was really funny. And, at the very end, Dark Link still needed only 8 hits to be defeated. The most difficult task was to beat the last Guardian, just before the final boss, Dark Link... ;)

  • what a crappy ending lol thanks for posting

  • roflmao!

"thanks a million!<push start to replay."

    hahahaha

  • omg... the music is immense!!!

  • it was the very first game i had. i was around eight and i could never beat the last boss before link's shadow. pretty frustrating... nice to see it beaten so quickly...

  • I love how that ending screen can be interpreted in such a very, very wrong way.

  • I thought that this game was impossible without the game genie..

    Legendary.

  • nice run, never beat it as a kid and it's nice to finally see all the levels/dungeons and other areas I never saw.

  • these are the real final (theren't another ebd)??

    man you are like god!!

  • It took me so long to beat that game back when lol. It was great to see it again.

hehe nice dude. Thanks for posting.

  • i have this for the gameboy advance and i just passed the first dungeon

  • ...wow... im speechless...

  • did you record this off the rom, or did you play off original system and nintendo? If the latter, how did you record it to computer?

  • This looks like a play from the GameCube disc if you watch the very first video. Probably through a video recording card on his computer.

  • Is it just my GC-controller or is there something incredibly wrong with the first 2 Zelda's on the GC disc? It's almost impossible to steer Link in the right direction with the cross-button in Zelda 1, and in Zelda 2 he responds much slower than on the NES. The colours are completely messed up. Have you noticed these problems too?

  • I have not played the game on the Cube, so I'm not sure. I'll give it a shot the next time I'm around my buddy, and I'll be sure to try it both ways (on Wii and Cube)

  • Sounds great! The controls are the biggest issue. I'm using the Wii myself, the GC disc + GC controller (original Nintendo one, so it should work well). While you're at it, please check the graphics too. The colours on the GC Zelda 2 sure don't look right: The trees have much less detail than the NES version, Link's skin-colour is so light he blends in with the background, etc. I don't know about the virtual console versions, but I have a feeling they could be flawed too.

  • i think it's cause of the emulator software used

to replicate the game is glitchy but i'm not sure

  • Thanks! But are you referring to the issues with the graphics or the controls? Pepople keep complaining about issues with hit-detection, etc in Zelda 2, which is quite understandable if they have only played the emulated versions. I never die in that game, but on the GameCube version I can barely make it to the first palace. Right now I am really sceptical towards the virtual console versions. I doubt they are any better.

  • dude you are awesome! i watched all 9 episodes front to finish! i've been trying to beat that game since i was a child!

  • Nice one mate, that was top class.

  • animals void their bowels at the sight of mortos der soul stealer

  • 00:12 LOL

  • i just sat down eat my cheadder gold fish and watch all 9 parts

  • Thnks a lot. I had this game and never could finish it at this point. I still hate this game until now. It's really unpleasant, drives you drastic and haunt you for the rest of your life.

  • Damn! I can't remember the last time I played this game...

    Good gameplay and excellent strategy.

  • wow dark link was a pice of shit compared to you XD!

  • Well, what can be said?

This is the ultimate run for this game I think.

Excellent gameplay, neat and fast. Also the strategy for leveling up attack at the beginning was smart.

The only negative thing I would point out is the way of defeating Dark Link: I mean, people always kill him that way, he never gets as much as a fair fight. Poor thing.^^

But overall it's still a marvellous bit of gaming, the runner has all my respect.

  • really i never thought to kill dark link that way, but then again last time i faced him i was 6 so i kind of felt my way past him (god knows how)

  • I never got past the first dungeon, either...

I have the Zelda: Collector's Edition Disc for GameCube as opposed to the actual NES version.

    Bravo!

  • i never pased the first dungeon, hahaha

  • Gotta love the music in this game ^^ Sure was hard though. Those eagle knights were hard as diamonds!

  • What the crap?!?! That's how you beat Link's shadow?!? I used to jump up and down and stab him in the face for 20 minutes before he went down! Still, great bosses in this game.

  • I played this game 13 years ago and I didn´t manage to remove force field in the last palace...I dont remember, what I did wrong but now after many years I finally see what is behind it :-) thanx

  • Nice job man, good run

  • how do you do it so good i keep deing im only up to the part where i get the hammer any tips??

  • Man, a 9 part speed run?!I've seen longer, like one 45 part twilight princess speed run, but this one is still VERY LONG!You should make a difrent type of speed run and call it the slug run!

  • dude. you are the biggest retard. the run itself isn't in 9 parts! it's one! read the video description.

  • Okay, i get it now, but i've seen a single speed run uploaded on this site that's one 33 min part long.I see your point but this guy made his speed run just one very long part. You could have just done yours like that.

  • you have to pay for an acount on youtube that lets you upload a video that's more than 10 minutes long.

  • @brh1186 oops sorry, ignore my comment, forgot to read the description :P

  • @brh1186 Did you not go for the last 2 heart containers because you didnt need them?

  • Gamecube? that doesn't count... you must overcome the flashing screen of death,Chip 'Breakdown' Vogel

  • lol

  • Classic! Thanks for posting. Brings back memories.

  • sure!

  • Holly mack!

  • everyone's different

  • This doesn't look like it would be a fun game to play. We use to have it until our house was broken into and someone stole it. I never got to play it but by the way it looks I don't think I would want to.

  • Sweet!

  • i miss these games. I WANT MY NES BACK! lol

  • my bad man u dont play AOL before, u really miss someting:P sorry for u man =(

  • You can download it via virtual console on the Wii now. I just downloaded it yesterday and beat it today, great game!

  • Great, no emulators. Good job!

  • Wow thanks for posting this! Dark link down!
