@UltimateBananaPwn this is a really left hand intensive song so maybe a little more practice on your left hand would be better. when i play this song i find that i don't need to even think about playing the right hand because it's usually just melody. the left hand is a lot harder. you play a bass note then immediately jump up to the middle range to play a chord. so, in conclusion, lol i would recommend a little easier songs. i remember a song called venetian boat song that is great for lefthand

@UltimateBananaPwn btw I'm no pro by any means but my observations from playing this song tells me that someone who doesn't often play with their left hand would need a little easier practice for it. i would recommend some exercises also like hanon or just unison scales.

hit root notes with pinkie, jump up to the cords (for left hand), right hand is pretty self explanatory, just takes tons of practice to get each part down smooth, then put them together. of course, the way i say it makes it sound easy, and its not.

This is my favorite song and Howl's moving castle is my favorite movie.I have seen it about 100 times and i guarantee that ur eyes will water the first time you see it. Water as in weeping. @ThinlyCut90 I think I heard in another song that the red parts were originally the strings, but they were added in with the Synthesia version. So, if you don't play the strings... you /probably/ won't need three arms.

@angelofmusic997 Oh and actually, you do play the red part (well, certain parts of it) because it carries the melody. The green and blue part are played by the left hand only. Some parts are omitted so you can actually play with two hands.

The green and the blue is the piano. Red is the strings. And I know this because I play cello in a church orchestra and we actually play this song.

I think the reason this is so complicated is because parts of what the piano is playing up there are actually played by drums, strings, etc... in an actual orchestra. Because listening to the real song, you can tell that some of those parts aren't played by a piano. The only other explanation is either multiple pianos or multiple arms (like ten :D)

As I see there are times when you must play notes at the complete right, complete left and middle of the piano at the same time. Is this possible?

If it is, pianists are geniuses. But I'm serious when I ask this question. It is weird. I've seen guys playin' this theme on Youtube but was it the exact same notes as here? I don't know.

@Witsarunemitea most of it... There're parts in which it's impossible to execute in one piano. This version have some alterations (additions to be more precise) to make it look like the orchestra version ^.^ it sounds much more richer!

@Witsarunemitea well, yes and no... reds start at 0:45 that's fine, and still possible, the blue notes are not being held down all the time, till 1:40 everything is ok, then there's is this second voice (or 3rd hand) that gets added, it's unexecutable solo. This last only a few seconds, till 1:48. Then it's ok again. There're moments in which this impossible parts apear, it's easy to identify them because it really seems to be a third voice! ^.^ Solo piano execution requires some minor changes=D
