a muslim man is allowed to marry 4 times because men are usually known to be the ones who make the money in the house , not women . back then , the women stayed home & took care of the children . therefore ; they would be unable to treat all 4 of their husbands equally . which is mandatory in Islam . if a man marries 4 women , he is to treat all of them equally . so if he buys one of them a house , he needs to buy all of them a house . thats why no muslim man marries 4 times ;)
