@totalmalfunction I think u can as long as u tinker w/ it...may have too get a pedal like I did, cause I wasnt happy w/dist.I like a creamier thicker sound like the digitech MM.
Yeah, you cant compare a little 20watt solid state practice amp to a Boogie or ya know. You just wont get the clarity of all the strings like tube. This thing is great for posting vids, instructional, recording, practicing, and just jamming when you dont feel like lugging a jcm800 around,ya know!
hate line 6, havnet played the new one, but was disapointed in them, peavey vypyr worst ive played, roland and vox, nice. but, i dont like using distortion pedals, but im in market for the BOSS ME70. then again the gain i want is massive heavy mesa/engl/all tube mayhem. but i like the lighter stuff too. ty
i dontreally trust amps that arent known for high gain like hiwatt, bogner... for high gain. then again, i have been proven wrong. thank you for amp, wanted boogie sound anyways, just not willin to spend 3000.
JUst get one of those empty 2x12 cabs brand new off ebay for 100 dollars, same size as a boogie, slap a couple greenbacks or v30s into it....then pickup a BV 60 head(Marty Friedman used im MD)for like 400 dollars of ebay, and if u dont like it send it ti bluevoodoo amps for modification, you still only have about 1100 into it at this point and it will sound better than a boogie.Plus u can always slap a pedal,eq,and maximizer infront of it. Hope this helped!!
was lookin at a BV, would prefer 4x12 for shear size, but have no need for something that huge. and i decided to purchase MXR M-116 fullbore metal distortion, alond with MXR 10 band EQ, and Boss ME-70. Now i know which speakers, greenbacks. Thanks bro.
Great review! I just bought one, but it doesn't sound as good as yours. What guitar/pickups are you using and what is the riff you are playing at 2:21 of the video?
in my dreams- dokken!!
