Bud Select 55 and other ultra light beer review

These are great if you want to hang out and socialize but have to work the next day. Not good if you are a raging alcoholic. I like the taste. I definitely prefer this over the MGD 64. Wish more places carried this.

No question, a cold Michelob Ultra tastes the best out of the ultra light options. It also has more calories than the other Ultra lite options.

@stipstap1983 but MU has 4.2%, and for some of us, some of the time we don't want that much alcohol, but we want some, not for swimmy effect, but just for the 'right feel' of flavor and 'nutrition'(really), and BudSelect55 does it. It's the beer you drink while working and not get swimmy, and still enjoy it. Non-alc beers are not good. 2.4-2.8% is good.

I am very happy that they made Bud 55. I like the taste of beer, but not the alcohol, so it is perfect for me. Yes, I know it is watered down. But it's perfect because I don't feel funny after drinking it.

So...why wouldn't you just drink nonalcoholic beer. Select 55 has almost NO flavor, so if you like beer you probably want something that really tastes like beer. Select 55 has 2.4% ABV non alcoholic has between 0 and 0.1%

The non alcoholic beer tastes worse that Bud 55. If I have to choose between them, I will choose Bud 55. A little bit of alcohol is ok for me. Of course, I like the real beers, like the ones they make at a local micro-brewery. But to get what I call "no effect of alcohol" I choose Bud 55.

Yes I know what you mean, I had 6 Select 55s and 6 regular selects and didn't have a buzz. Right now I'm drinking Molson XXX because of the extra alcohol, bout to make a video seeing how trashed I can get!!

They could make these ultra light beers legal for kids 18-21. There is no way someone could get drunk on a Bud 55. Too watery.

@USpatriotz Yes unfortunately it is pretty mild in flavor. I'll take a Sam Adams Noble Pils over any other beer I've tried.
