seen bruce many times all over the world !! he always rocks the fucking stadium !! best time gotta be glastonbury just because im from bristol and its just down the road ! but wherever he plays he fucking rocks out !! thats why he is the BOSS !!! nuff said !!! sleep tight clarence ! up there in heaven with the greats making that sax talk !!! never forget you big man !!
I was fortunate enough to be there. We drove 1000 miles that yerar to see him twice and I'm doing all again this year. Fuck it you only live once. So sad to see Danny and The Big Man go but life goes on. Tramps like us baby we were born to run! xxx
@brucespringsteen2008 Theres a clip of an interview with him and he said he loved being on stage, he called it the healing floor cause every single problem or pain he had went away out there.
So, was walking in a CD store, suddenly I noticed a Bruce Springsteen Hyde Park DvD Blu-ray version. Of course I buy the DvD! It's Bruce Springsteen, does not matter that I dont have a blu-ray player at home!
Took a 250 mile train ride from South Wales to London with a mate in order to see this show, both 16 at the time, so glad i did, what a show, and great to see the Bigman too, front row made it all worthwhile !
I have NEVER loved a Band MORE than Bruce's Band.As many times as I have seen them live,I will NEVER find better. God Bless Danny Federici and the BIG MAN Clarence Clemmons.I first saw Bruce and the E Street Band at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh in 197??? sometime just before Darkness was released and passed Bruce on the Highway one summer around Cleveland when he and Steve and Mike were driving across the northeast.I have been a forever fan of just not Bruce but the E STREET BAND as well!!
The look on Stevie Van Zandt's face at 1.40 when the boss walks away with the mic. He looks round at the band as if to say "where the hell is he goin!!!
It's great to see so many varied ages in the crowds. It shows that Bruce still has support from his older fans, and is reaching out to crowds of younger ages. I'm 16 and have never stopped listening to the Boss. There's nothing that will ever keep me from true music.
@miracleworker28 at last!!! thanks miracleworker!!! i am from athens also and i still remember him in the concert for the international amnesty. but that wasn't enough. he has to come in Athens. WE MUST LIVE THIS KIND OF FEELING!!!!! HE AND HIS BAND WILL ALWAYS BE Nr 1 !!!!!!
If you truly love the BOSS then you know his decision to replace the sound that's been E Street is a difficult one to begin. I hope never to see critiquing here. We ALL know that sound is for the ages and a new sound will be heard. Bruce will give us that. That's his contract with all of us. That's why he is called the BOSS!
I saw Bruce at a concert around 2003 but I was too young to really know much about the band...I'm not sure if the Big Man was with them that night but after hearing his deep vocals in this song it was a dream of mine to see Bruce and the rest of the band perform this great song one day in person...now I won't get the chance to see Clarence in person...I may have seen him in 2003 but I don't remember cause I didn't really know about him back then...so sad but greatful for his years with us...RIP
@wow13d If you saw Bruce--you surely saw the Big Man. I'll take this opportunity to shout out for Nils Lofgren--a most underrated guitar player and very good artist/songwriter in his own right. He is touring. Go see him!
@ttraynor1 Yep, yep...The Big Man was the Yin to Bruce's Yang. I have seen Nils Lofgren live...during his tour to cover the CRY TOUGH lp many years ago. Nils has sat in with Neil Young and Crazy Horse as well...seminal recordings. A most underrated guitarist indeed! And refreshingly DEVOID OF EGO. A true treat for any music fan.
Gutted the Big man is gone but I feel honoured to have been at this concert back in 2009. best gig ive ever been to and I can now tell the kids I got to see the greatest band and one of the best sax players ever in the form of Clarence Clemons....you will be missed.
... your Saxaphone was an extension of you........ you will be playing until the end of time .. we HEAR and SEE you and your lovely quiet smile .......... :)
... your Saxaphone was an extension of you........ you will be playing until the end of time .. we HEAR and SEE you and your lovely quiet smile .......... :)
From Fox News: "WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Clarence Clemons, the larger-than-life saxophone player for the E Street Band who was one of the key influences in Bruce Springsteen's life and music through four decades, has died. He was 69."
@springsteen47 Wow, you sure got something against Nickelback. Why don't you quite trying to be an attention whore via what you think are witty and/or trendy comments, please. And if that honestly wasn't your intention, well....I'm sorry, but you aren't that bright.

@springsteen47 "Music is subjective but they are horrid." If music is subjective you cannot state they are horrid. You can say, in your opinion they're horrid, but just in general they're horrid, I'm sorry, no. Now, as to the weed comment, I've never smoked a day in my life, and I'm not 14, so please don't make an uninformed guess. I have shitty music taste? It looks like you like Bruce Springsteen, and so do I! Does that mean you have shitty taste? All music is good, to those who like it.
@chipleader14 No, they had two songs with a similar bass line and chord structure. It was studied by a musicologist, and other than those two similarities, they are different. Please be completely informed before making such a definite statement.
