Wow In America, it seems hard to get into college and be financialy struggling.
In Ireland we get Grants, but we never have to pay them back, and here going to College is a very very very important thing. We get tons of foreign students also.
@SolidSnakeRD what's with the rhetorical question? Obiously none, because they came from America. May I remind you that our population is quite small compared to your's. But we are still quite an important little country.

Well, I don't know about other countries, but normally in the United States you have to take the SAT before college. SAT = Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is supposed to measure your abilities as a student.
Great video! I got another tip for those thinking about going to college. If you haven't been too school for awhile and/or you feel that you may not be ready or don't have the skills for college you can talk to an adviser about taking some College Prep classes to get you prepared for regular college classes. Thats what I did and now I am taking the pre reps. this term. I want to be a Vet Assistant.

I'd second the concept of not feeling obliged to do the ivy league or 4 year thing. A good local college with a strong program can give you what you need. I went to Baruch College, part of City U of NY and I was happy with the results. Don't dream it - be it.
LOL I made a mess of college TWICE back when I was still mentally well. Now I am a loonbasket I fear my chances of success are not too good. I miss my old brain so much - damn where did it go!! ;-)
Your old brain is still there...maybe just taking a nap or hiding a bit! haha. Seriously, you could totally do it. Maybe slowly or part-time so you don't get too stressed out, but if you wanted to, you could!
I wonder if they have a scholarship for middle aged moms of autistic kids who have too many dogs? LOL! I go to the local community college, usually one class at a time. I think I am finally a sophomore! LOL!
haha. They SHOULD have a scholarship for that if they don't already! Congrats on being a sophomore! Part of my strategy for getting thru college tips includes going part time...even one class at a time will get you there eventually! Does your college have day care? Or day care that supports your kids?

just saying the development with age is more active in US than other countries.Most countries have passive education but people really compete here
