  • Awesome, I wanna get one, but my local music store doesn't sell gutbuckets :(

  • @dhammond249 build one, this one is home made....many different plans available, main thing is to use a galvanized tub and a new one... the plane ones are too thin and easy to bend.....and old ones, though rustic looking tend to crack and split, especially after long playing...Local university had folk festival recently and several folks played mine during the weekend...

  • @MrSteve55 where can i find "plans" to build one?

  • lol WAY too under tempo!

  • Looks like you two are having fun.

    Thanks

    Jack

  • Your sisster is a wonderful dulcimer player. Hope you post her more often.

  • Awesome! What is the the string of the washboard bass made out of?

  • I can't attest for this gentleman, but the majority of contemporary washtub bass players use weed wacker line. Upright bass strings, particularly gut strings, are phenomenally expensive.

  • Cool. Thanks!

  • sorry for not ever answering, it is 1/4 braided cotton clothesline.. have the weed whacker line, but it is fluorescent green and wasnt folksy enuff for me

  • Thanks! And there isn't really a problem with the delay. I understand that we all have lives outside of youtube :)
