  • I did my both knee's arthroscopy last year and right now I am suffering a lot and even 600 ml of effexor and every 8 weeks of injection is not doing anything, eventually I have to talk about knee replacement with my doctor.

  • i am getting this done a week on friday! sh*tting it ahah but i need it now not next week

  • i have just had both knees done,on 16/11/2011.and a week on i can walk, but due to my kind of work i do,its a slow road back.steps are fun,and standing up,can not kneel at all, stiches out tommorrow

  • Hi mate I have had this operation done twice from an injury caused from ice hockey I got ripped cartilage on the outer side of my left knee, I now have arthritis in my joints cUse it's bone to bone and no cartilage there to support it, this is very painful everyday and it's only goin to get worse over years to come and been told wi need a new knee joint in future , I am only 27 yeArs old

  • I just did this 2 days ago and I am having a lots pain. Dr. gave me some morphine to reduce the pain. I can't sleep at night. hopefully it will get better by next week.

by reading these comments, I am so scared that I will have the same problem like you guys. if any body knows more plz write some thing.

  • @minabarzi had this on both knees now. 1rst time I pushed it and went back to work in 5 days, couldn't help it, needed $, it really slowed healing process. But once I was healed up properly bought me a good 6 mths of pain free living. I have 'tri-compartmental osteoarthritis' and will require replacement. Had this done on rt knee 1 year ago, then eventually it started hurting again. Dr wants to put off knee replace so as a last resort I have started steroid/ cortizone injection. Wow!!

  • @minabarzi best thing is to have time to heal properly after, don't push it. Flex your knee gently right after you get out of surgery and do it frequently every day, you'll loosen up and be walking sooner than if you just lie around letting your muscles seize up

  • Was this in preparation for some sort of additional procedure right after? cause it doesn't seem like that spot with missing articular cartilage would be very comfortable

  • So what does it mean when your knees crack every time they bend, and feel painful when running long distance?

  • Knees crack, although I am advised y the Dr that it's not a crack but bone grinding on bone due to the lack of cartlidge. I can no longer run at all due to the impact pain.

  • I have the same question. The feeling of being very sore at the knees, sitting and standing is a problem. Can't have the knees bend at certain angles. The Dr told me that there's a lot of snapping and a scope will find the problem. He used the term 'to find the plucker'. I fell during running and crashed both knees into a drain cover.

  • i have to get that done

    did u have it done

    how sore is it after??
