Within even the last week, I was considering going to a church. A friend showed me a page of teaching and it had SHAPE on it. It meant nothing to me at the time. I am so thankful that the Holy Spirit lead me to watch this whole video. I shall seek the Lord on this matter as to whether I should go or not, I am so thankful to God for the posting of this video. I took some Psychology in University, and since then Jesus Christ has set me free from those lies. He alone is the Truth.

I always sensed that there was something wrong with the purpose driven life, but as a good Christian , I trusted my pastor who tripped over himslef to paint Rick Warren as a powerful man of God , I was wrong as I can see .

The anima and the animus have nothing to do w/ bisexuality. These are concepts Jung uses to discuss the Shadow. If you don't think you have a shadow side, then you don't have th e ability to Reason, as it's the very essence of freewill. How could God expect one to be more than the Self (rather than operate via the ego)?. To suggest that neuroanatomy has nothing to do w/ healing is shear ignorance. And it seems you know very little about Jung's message. So, it's ok to talk about spirituality, yet not acceptable to contemplate its relationship w/ the human organism. Rubbish.

Good, thats from the Spirit to encourage you to do some Berean study into why you feel that way - after 30 years of being a Christian I now do not align myself to any preacher but listen and then align their teaching to Scripture - my faith has become more steady and my relationship with Christ far more in depth

I was in a bible study with some folks reading this book.

To me it just seemed like a plagiarism of many other self help books. One bad thing I noticed was he used several different versions of the bible to get his point across.... you could cross check many verses and not get his point from any one translation of the bible.  weird stuff. I couldn't read it, it just didn't have any power, nor did I feel led by the Holy Spirit to finish reading it. Reading the bible is a better choice.

I do not like the book the purpose driven life, I found it highly superficial and manipulative. However most of the criticisms of it, ( apart from the terrable storys about the covenenat and people being driven out), are very poor quality. The core doctrine is Love God and yourself with all of you. Just remember he says to the goats who boldy told him about their miracles, prophecy, etc 'i knew you not'. Love is the overriding message good news and sound doctrine.

a very doctrine- concerned body of evangelical believers one quarter mile from my house had "the purpose driven life" program several years ago. I looked through the book and found it very boring,old hat psychobabblestuff, and was surprised that particular church participated in the program.

That quote at 31:29 is a great quote by Carl Jung. The church is within our individual temple of the soul. We do not need _any_ church to try and sell their version of truth. Find your own...

About time some one did this. 5 years ago my in my old Church our Bible Study Guy could not endorse or teach the purpose driven life.

He said and proved Rick Warren 's books was false. And This sound just like my old bible class.
