That's what I thought at first but look at all the people commenting on this video. Many of them say ghosts DO exist. I doubt anyone would waste their time lying in a YouTube comment, so I can only assume that ghosts do exist.
@JMarchOHare They don't understand you JMarch I do though. Photoshop works under similar ways. You can actually see path that has been drawn around the newsreader, and it was inverted by mistake. People really shouldn't comment if they don't know what they're talking about lol..
@one4all1000: In video, the process is largely automatic. You just have to put the reporter against a screen of a different color than her skin, hair and whatever she's wearing. Blue and green screens are common, but you can use any color and calibrate to it with a knob on the switcher. As you said, Photoshop does similar tricks.
Once that selection area is set, you can invert it, also as you said. Old chromakey systems could only fill in the background, but you can do about anything now.
@JMarchOHare I understand you, I'm a professional photographer and use this in photoshop almost every day. I just find it annoying when people call other ignorant when it is clear they have no idea what they are talking about, and haven't even bothered to at least google and understand someone's reply.
