I saw an interview where Jared is basicly saying we'd rather be in pitchforks best albums of 2008 than sweep the grammy's! He didn't specifically mention Pitchfork but ohh well. Hopefully the next album will be a mix of the grit of Aha Shake and the beauty of BOTM

you definately can not judge this band by their last two albums. there best work by far has been their first two albums. especially their 2nd, "Aha Shake Heartbreak". Those albums had an awesome authentic garage band, with a very upbeat feel, and superb bass lines and drumming. hopefully they will take a step back with their new album, because this poppy stuff is getting really old.

KOL are amazing musicians=One of the world's best entertainers. I read last year that KOL said that they admire artists like Ryan Adams, who can write and perform different types of songs on just one album. Why settle for what's expected. Mix it up. Come on, Use Somebody is well done. I love all their music from California Waiting to Frontier City. I'm extremely happy KOL won a much deserved Grammy last night. They're my favorite band! They are incredible "Live" too!

Record of the Year is a producers category -- did you see how Nathan and Caleb absorbed all the praise while Angelo stood there waiting for his moment in the sun, only to have the mic turned off when he tried to speak. These guys deserved a grammy.They have been touring their asses off and entertaining many over the years. It is good to see that hard work, dedication and good music is recognized. I tend not to think such events will be entertaining since music has changed so dramatically. But it wasn't so long ago that Mars Volta won a grammy as well.

I think the kings still rock even though they have changed. There are some people who are unhappy with their recent success. I think those people should move on. Until they have walked in the Kings of Leon's shoes, they should keep their opinions to themselves. I have been a fan since the very first album and will continue to be one.

I am SO pleased for the boys that they won 3 grammys. Totally deserved in my opinion - not just on the basis of this record, but for all their other stuff too. Its a shame its taken so long for them to get this recognition in the US cause they deserved it long ago when the 2nd album, Aha Shake, came out. I think the new sound is more american-ish/commercial and thats possibly why this is all happening now but either way, I LOVE them and they deserve every ounce of success that comes their way!

By the time Reading came round, they had been touring non-stop and had just finished headlining T in the Park & Oxygen. They were needing a break from touring and I think they geniunely had an off night BUT the Reading crowd was shit - very little reaction to much of their other songs which is unusual for any crowd of theirs in the UK. I guess the crowd was made up of new fans who didn't neccessarily know the old stuff - its a waste of money spending that to hear two bloody songs though!
