0:37-0:44 May be you want to say this way:

春になって外の壁をきれいにしました。

''Haru ni natte sot no kabe o kirei ni shimashita.''

壁(Kabe) = wall

or you can use 外壁(Gai-heki) = outer wall.

I put some notes in with annotations. Wow, I'm loving the YouTube annotations right now!! I've never really used them much before ... but they are so useful for this. It makes me really remember the words/grammar by putting them in annotations.

Thank you for the feedback! I think that's also a very good way to study - and I've done things like that before. This particular experiment is about seeing how much I can learn by speaking naturally, without a script and learning from my mistakes (thanks to people pointing them out). I know that finding your own mistakes is a very important skill in language learning - but this experiment has a different focus.

Part of the point of doing it publicly is to get over the embarrassment of making mistakes in public so I won't be so shy in talking to people, I'll take more risks and improve faster. Also by telling people I'll do it every day like this helps with the motivation to continue even on days that I don't feel like doing it. This experiment is just for a month - I'll probably try another one when it's finished. Thanks again for the feedback and encouragement. 頑張ります！
