Only fitting that the last track on Marc Bolan's last album should be a return to the hot T Rex sound of 1972... but this track should be heard following on from the previous track, Pain And Love... the Dandy has returned to the surface of the world and found it shattered and ruined and as desolate as his emotions - then this song, and total revalation as to why the world bcame a ruin...!
[DANDY IN THE UNDERWORLD is the album in question]
Sorry ur wrong, this is nothing like "the hot T.Rex sound of 1972". There is no Cadilac in this or Metal Guru. But there is I think, a 1977 sound and influential attitude. Check out this song by Baby Strange.
It's a matter of opinion... this song makes me think of the heady days of T Rextasy of 1972 - not in the instruments or the arrangement but the 'sound'... sorry but either you get it or you don't. But hey! we are both Mar Bolan fans so we needn't get hung up on how we react individually to each song. There's no wrong or right in such matters imho.
I feel bad for liking this song.
