@antimarxism -in my set up, i just use my mouse to access the master fader, but if you wanted to program it that a fader would be the master, you can program the unit to control the first 7 faders for tracks, then the 8th one for a master fader. the only drawback to this versus version one is that it did have a additional 9th fader which was used and reserved for a master fader on the nano kontrol v1. but v 2 has better build quality and trasport, plus MCU support built in it.
@foof505 - i looked up the product you mentioned, and though it says it handles midi, the tech sheet for music maker didnt make a reference in regards to this product using Midi ccm coding. it says it does midi but it doesnt make mention of the program using Midi CCM in it. i would say it isnt compatible, but i think your best bet is to contact customer support for the product and ask if the program uses MIDI CCM(Midi Control Change Message) fucntionality.
@lanzauno -thank you, it is a beat i made that is on my album called Music To Die For, the name of the beat is called Death Trance, and it is availiable on Cdbaby,Itunes, Rhapsody and other sites. My artist name is The J.Hexx Project. Thanks for your feedback on the music!
@TRcitizen -be honest i don't really want to try it out because i don't want the program you mentioned to screw with all the other programs that i have in my comp, but if that program uses Midi CC messages, the NanoKontrol 2 should work with it, cause it uses Midi CC message code to work with your daw. But be warned, you will have to program the ccm manually into thenanokontrol2 and your daw so it can communicate back and forth and set midi preferences for the Nano to work.
hi there, thanks for the video. i am having trouble setting it up (reaper & nanokontrol 2 in osx). got it runnning, reaper can see the device but i don't get how you manually map the cc messages. how do you find out, i.e. what cc messages the transport in reaper has?
if you find the time, can you make a step-by-step tutorial. that would help a lot.
@monochromo81 > you can set those functions using the ACTION list in reaper, by selecting the function, and after you move the control or switch to allow your controller to assume that function which the controller will save in reaper automatically. i will look sometime into doing a step by step for others who may not knwo how to appkly ccm to the kontroller.
can someone explain to me what the korgnano kontrol is made to do? i want to learn how to use it

What do you think about the faders? Are they "sensitive" enough?
