Sarah, very inspirational. Richard Gagne gave me a copy of your book and I'm about 1/2 through it. Can't wait to finish and I hope to get the chance to meet you at some point in the future. Best wishes.
she is a very strong woman she never gives up she showed people that have a disability how to fight it and not give uo on your dream she is a tru hero thanxs sarah ur the best
Another real hero coming from the Iron Man Challenge.
I can't help thinking that the behavior of her parents not picking her up and her coach sending her to play with the wall played a KEY ROLE in building the motivation into her mind that she could beat her disability.
She has done that and much much more than that. Look at what she's turned herself into: a hero.
What a woman! Sarah, you are an inspiration - what tenacity, what dedication, what discipline, but most of all what a belief in yourself and your own ability and capacity. How you have developed your independent will to drive you to achieve - you are truly tougher than the rest. Your strength of character and your very essence radiates and touches hearts to change minds to inspire them to achieve.
Sarah, I hope you somehow see this post, or Razor55, if you do, please pass this on to Sarah. I'm a disabled vet. due to injuries from Iraq and Afghanistan, and I'm now training for my first Ironman. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
The only thing that is sad is the fact that YouTube makes it easy for people like Lance to spew nonsense like this.
Sarah is a tireless advocate for challenged athletes. Her ego has gotten so big that she participates in numerous free clinics every year, teaching other challenged athletes how to compete in sports despite life-altering disabilities. These events make a meaningful difference in the lives of real people facing real challenges.

Dear Lance, Sorry you had a bad experience with Sarah, but she signed everything and anything anyone wanted her to sign in Kona. She is an inspiration to all women in this sport and a super person.
Any coach that is worth his weight can make anyone fit in comfortably. I really hope he sees this. You are an amazing athlete with a skill level that I can only dream of and an extremly attractive woman with a smile that most models would envy. Thanks for being such an inspiration to us all.
I'm glad she finished, but more importantly even if she didnt, is that she tried to the best of her ability. Even if she never made it, it would have been a success in her life. Fear of failure limits very many people, even when they are able bodied compared to her. Great work
I agree with the sentiments however she didnt finish the race despite the title - she failed to make the cutoff at the end of the bike ride and dropped out at that point.

Too bad her ego has gotten so big that she won't sign autographs for 8 year old girls at Kona.
