grant couldn't stand the smell of his father's tannery, so he rode out and traded with the natives, learning to speak several dialects in the process. Sad that he would later oversee the genocide of the indians, through broken treaties and generals like his friend sherman.

@eyechord There was no genocide of the Indians. The tribes continue today. They have been mostly absorbed into American culture, and there are many Americans of mixed north American and European ancestry.
