I'm agree with @askvivi, I think using this kind of treatments is too damaging for hair, I prefer using my Karmin Professional Titanium Flat Iron, it works pretty good, removes static and leaves my hair silky and shiny for a healthier styling. I bought it at my hair styling tools.

i live in japan and i get my hair done about every 8 months. its worth every penny. its cheaper here than in the states. it only costs me about 150 dollars to get it done and my hair is halfway down my back. all i have to do is wash it and brush it and go. it dries perfect. no flyaways. no frizz. its silky shiny perfectly straight every day with no work. and its very very humid in okinawa so when i dont do it i look like i stuck my finger in a light socket. lol. i am getting it done tomorrow :)

@MakailaJ101 it's not. new hair growth will still come out as curly.only the part that was straightened will remain straight.that means aftr few months, your hair will be curly at the top part, straight at the lower end.if you grow hair very slow, it means you don't need to straighten your hair often. my hair grows quickly.what i do is request to straighten only the part with the new growth.that is less damaging to the straightened lower part and cheaper too.

@temple134 The JHS is permanent but you have to come back every 6-8months for the touch up. When your hair grows back out it will grow out in your natural hair!

@TheBUNNII27 in order for the relaxer to get perm into your hair and stay for about a year or so, the hair stylist uses a professional flat iron that goes to 400 degrees. A blow dryer does not generate enough heat to do the job. The hair looks very flat at first but after a few weeks or so it begins to volumize a little more. I think using volumizing shampoos and conditioners can help achieve straight hair with body.

If your trying to get the regular relaxer it is much better for you to get the
JHS. The regular relaxer chemical is really strong if you have weak hair or thin hair
the hair gets damaged alot and it might break off!
With the JHS your hair wont fall out!! :D

I am obsessed with the Japanese hair, but the problem is this permanent hair straightening is not really "permanent".

@dizzyupmeems Once it's REBONDED(or straightened), you may not wash ur hair for 3 days. After that 3 days, when you wash your hair and blow dry it properly, it sets like that :)

its just a relaxer. i got mine done, my hair is a frizzball, long..up to my butt. cost me 60$ its great, my hair is soft and doesnt frizz as easily. you should go more than once, but a couple of months as a break because you dont want to damage your hair.

But the workers are a tad bit rude and you could TOTALLY tell they are talking about you in japanese cus they like laugh at you. Anyway don't be fooled ; mine came out to be like $240 at hair club ib instead of the "130-150" crap. They fool you into getting this silkening product that chargers more, and give such high rates on tip! Like RELAX there I just paid you enough for a shopping spree. Lmao. Jk. It wont damage your hair but its a chemical the ends might get a bit dry!!
We have Brazilian Keratin Treatment, its a treatment that makes the hair straight!
It wont come out pin straight like the JHS but it will make your hair in a better condition and it will make your hair straight. It gives your hair a natural look! :D

the japanese are the bomb at african american hair care. that is why they own the hair shops. being black and hispanic mixed, i don't have to buy weaves. my hair is to my mid back, but their way of straightening is healthier, they seem to add more positive techniques for our specific hair, and they have so many wonderful items at the hair shops for very inexpensive prices. much selection. gotta love em. theya re experts at their craft!

This doesn't wash out, i'm pretty sure it grows out. And it doesn't burn your scalp, it's not like dye, they only put it on the hair, and it doesn't cause cancer

@TheBUNNII27 in order for the relaxer to get perm into your hair and stay for about a year or so, the hair stylist uses a professional flat iron that goes to 400 degrees. A blow dryer does not generate enough heat to do the job. The hair looks very flat at first but after a few weeks or so it begins to volumize a little more. I think using volumizing shampoos and conditioners can help achieve straight hair with body.

and is tried of flat ironing my hair.. i have like short/median hair..
and when i take a shower and see my hair go to an afro it looks kinda fried..
and now i'm not ironing.
but i like the striaght look, is there any salon in Florida that does hair straighting.. and i can keep it like forever but i know when it grows then its curly..
