Питерсон как всегда великолепен. Одного не пойму: почему здесь только одна американь? Ни одного русского отзыва! Мы что все такие тупые, что любим только музыкально-шумовой бред из трёх аккордов?

Classic! I've nevver seem Roy Eldrich on vid before! But I have this crazy album where Roy and dizzy Gillespie are duking it out! Incredible! To top this guy (a matter of perspective, I guess) Dizzy had to play on way up high dancing between Roys notes. Dizzy had a DIZZYING technique! While I love both, on that PARTICULAR album, I thought Roy's tone was better and his lines definitely more catchy.
This is Bobby Durham, OP and NHOP at their prime. Roy was lucky to have played with them and vice versa, as this was in Roy's waning years. RIP to all of them. They are truly the greats.
That's one of the best performances of OP. He's so amazing!! But Niels O. Pedersen, too. It's incredible to play a walking bass in this tempo - i think it's round about 250-260??
and Brian Blade? and the drummer of Richard Galliano quartet or trio, I dont remember.. ANd others... There's always so nice drummer! And still nice bassist too!
who is the cat on drums?

Awesome. Peterson rules the 88. And the other guys aren't bad either. It's in the groove and outa' mind. In the moment and what a moment!

This is brilliant beyond belief. I only wish there were videos of the remaining 5 tracks from that album :(((

Roy's recordings in the 50s are really where its at. I didnt even know he could play like how he did until i found some of that in the early trio.

@PianoHero101 maybe that's why they had him play first.

Boy! Little Jazz couldn't have hoped for a better rhythm section in the world! Now they're all gone, except perhaps the drummer?

Unfortunelly the drummer (Bobby Durham) passed away too.
