  • So after taking off the third cat and no other modifications, you really didn't have any problems. No codes, no loss of power, no loss of mpg?

  • @offroader93 well I have 28 parts, going on 29 in a few weeks. But no it threw no codes, no noticeable loss of power.. I didnt notice any change in mpg's but I had the air/fuel messed with so its weird. If you have a Dak you should try it.. you can hear a big difference in the videos

  • @nfgblitzdude08 what is ur mpg in this?

  • @psykho15 I could not tell you a solid number, I have gotten as low as losing 5 gallons in a 6 minute curve road race, covered a 20 min road in 6 mins at a mazda meet.. other times I have only lost 8 gallons in 4-6 hours of racing on many roads with touring groups.. interstate I have gotten everywhere from 15-35.. yes 35.. 140 miles to Hickory and only lost 4 gallons from 16gal.. only got 30 coming back due to climbing steep grades, cant explain those mpgs, cuz I dont know

  • @nfgblitzdude08 how in the heck did u get 35 im mean seriously

  • @psykho15 I told you I cant explain it and i wont try, theres so much tinkering done to the computer it wont do anything normal, good or bad. But like I said, 16 gallon tank and took 4 gallons to drive 140 miles.. comes out to 35mpg.. The computer is tuned for high altitude low oxygen atmosphere.. and I guess when it got down into flat lands with long straights and no curves, it just flipped. I was hitting the top speed limiter at 97mph at not even a pencil width throttle

  • i got a 2002 dodge durango with the 4.7 V8, does that mean i got three cats as well? and where would they be? also what changed besides the loudness of your exhaust when you took your cat off? i heard takin off your cat will cause ALOT of problems?

  • @aaminjoshi91 if its like mine was, the third cat should be directly under the passenger side.. just saw it off and get somebody to weld in a test pipe.. I left the other two smaller cats on so it will pass emissions. It opens a little power, but I dont know the real gains. No problems though

  • @nfgblitzdude08 well my cat thats under the passenger side like your's has got two o2 sensors, and i dont wanna cut it off just yet cuz it'll mess with the engine you know? but i'm lookin into some headers right now so...i guess we'll see

  • @aaminjoshi91 you can tie those 02 sensors to your frame rail with some wire.. thats what everyone in the forums does. The forums are really helpful haha

  • @nfgblitzdude08 but if there not plugged into the exhaust pipe wont it throw off the readings?

  • @aaminjoshi91 its only making sure the exhaust going out is clean for the environment. I did not have them in mine.. my only O2 sensors are on the 2 cats coming out of the headers.. but they should not read bad if you tie them to the frame rail. cant tie them anywhere else cuz they get extremely hot

  • @nfgblitzdude08 well i'll look into that and see what happens, thanks man!

  • just one question. is this a 3.9 or a 4.7?

  • Posted below "V8 4.7 H.O. test motor, tested in 2000 for the 2002 Cherokee LE's, a lot of technicality with numbers, but the main power gains come from the H.O. plastic manifold and H.O. Cams, a 45hp Chrysler tune, and the FIPK system"

  • Any problems with anything after removing the third cat? Thinking of doing that to mine, already running no muffler --Check out my vid

  • no problems at all.. there are no o2 sensors on that third cat so it just comes right off, weld up a test pipe and your good to roll.. you will get 50% less restriction by taking it off.. im just toying with different exhausts until I get the sts rear mount

  • God damn that sounds good!

  • Really Nice!!

...I have vid of intense blue rt autocrossing

    same...no cat, flowmaster, gs motorsport header...4" tips...take a listen!

  • nice truck dude i love that idle. great colour too.

  • I appreciate that, Im checking yours out right now

  • is that a v8 or a v6 sounds like a v8

  • V8 4.7 H.O. test motor, tested in 2000 for the 2002 Cherokee LE's, a lot of technicality with numbers, but the main power gains come from the H.O. plastic manifold and Cams, a 45hp Chrysler tune, and the FIPK system

  • It sounds like a GT mustang with no cats.

  • Its a 4.7 and GT's are 4.6 so yea they prolly sound the same basically.. I only took the 3rd Cat off.. which still leaves the two short Cats.. wonder how much louder it could get haha
