I LOVE the color. and how you painted your bumpers. it looks awesome. I have a 68 fastback thats getting new paint in the next couple of years, but first I'm finishing up a 460 for it.
awesome car, and the bodystyle is magnificant!but the suspension is way too soft, isn't it?i mean it looks very smooth and comfortable but i at higher speeds not very stabile or not?anyways great ride!
The 67 is my favorite model galaxie.Love the stacked headlights.Along with the 65 impala,the 67 galaxie was one of the best looking full size cars of the era.
My parents had this model car . Wasnt modified tho like this one. All original. It was gold in color. My mom drove us to Miami from the Chicagoland area the summer of 72 in it . Back then, families drove most of the time to places people fly to nowadays. Makes the trip more memorable and pleasurable taking the scenic route. I remember vividly sitting in the back with my 2 brothers.
That's a great car, looks and sounds menacing! :) Just bought a 1967 Galaxie 500 with the 390 myself and can't wait to try it out! In the meanwhile, this one goes into my favorites ;)
I had a 1967 ford galaxie custom two door post when I got my lisence in 1994. I paid 1,100 and it was a blast, stright six 240 c.i. with power steering and am radio. Paint was beige mist with light tan and brown interior, it even had the original slip cover on the rear seat. I sold it in 1999
ok im 13 but my mom had a 66 2 door hard top 500 but her friend locked up the motor so she gve it to me and im tryin to sell it but i dont know how much to ask for it
Car looks absolutely fantastic! Love the wheel/tire combo, teardrop hood, and though I'm not usually a fan of painted bumpers, these look quite alright!
those 390's were a hell of a motor,,very torquey,,all the FE engines were great though,,but you must rework the oiling system or you'll be spinning bearing every pass...I can build a 390 to run 7000rpm all day long..start out by chamfering the bearing saddle holes lay a main bearing in the saddle,,you will only see half the hole,thats y you chamfer them..also the oil passage in the heads is way too big,drill a 1/8 inch hole in a steel dowel rod that fits the hole.more oil now to the bottom end.
Nice fuckin ride

Ford is the only one to use that type of hood scoop. Does anyone know what it's called ? The owner of the car can't answer (for he knows).
kolbpilot 1 year ago
@kolbpilot It's called "teardrop scoop"

@TjockiZZ Indeed it was. Good answer.

I have to know what the exhaust is that you put on that. I am getting a 1964 Gal 500 soon and I want that sound!!!

It sounds really nice when he starts it up, but I don't like that clapping noise it makes when he accelerates. Sounds like a glass pack to me
