The best big game player in the history of UNC! People talk about Magic and Kareem but the Lakers don't win all those titles without Worthy. Period.

@hooperqi double period.....he was the key to the lakers repeat, mvp of the 88 finals, triple double in game 7.....

@hooperqi While I do agree that James Worthy was one of the crucial pieces of the lakers dynasty, Kareem and Magic had already won 2 NBA championships prior to Worthy being drafted.

Now Im a UNC fan forever and James is and was the BOMB!!! But I hated him so bad when the Celtics and Lakers battled in the 80's. I really and I know that no one could stop him. The quickness, the first step, the soft touch!!! I feared him more than Magic, more than Kareem. Worthy was a BEAST!!!!! NBA Was the best in the 80's and early 90's.

When u talk basketball (to a basketball purist) and when u bring up the name James Worthy, now you done said something special...I asked Dennis Rodman who was your toughest player to guard in the NBA........he said 3 words "BIG GAME JAMES"

@timlin0607 James Worthy was my favorite player in high school, I wore 42 jersey in honor of big game james, the quickest first step in the history of the league.....I loved the way he played....
