If you had a Jeep and a Land Rover, the Land Rover will be around LOOOOONG after the Jeep falls apart. One thing to note: most countries in Latin America have 20 year old Land Rovers and almost nobody drives the Wrangler. I challenge you to tell them that the Land Rover isn't better than a Jeep.

My first car was a 1978 diesel Land Rover Series III, which is still going strong and I still own. Ive had 3 Defenders, the current a 2008 130 with 145 000 miles and still feels like new. Evidence, go to Africa and you'll see a lot more Land Rover Defenders than any of those. The only car that you'll see more than the Defender is the Land Cruiser.

The Land Cruiser is more practical and comfortable but the Defender is tougher.
