This is scene from the episode 'Carbon Creek'. They've obviously tried to do it drunk just for a laugh. They're not drunk, (or as drunk), in the scene that ends up in the actual episode.
no , because it was very bad .. i love star trek but if you watch seasons 3 and 4 ... no concept .. full of political allusion .. to say it in on word : boring
Another thing : in this season t^pol says she visited earth in 1950´s, later it is beeing confirmed showing her handbag at the end of the episode. Much later she reveals to Trip that she is 66. I tell you , there was no cosistent timeline and never a global idea.
her great-grandmother was the one who visited earth in the 1950's - coincidentally, she happened to look EXACTLY like t'pol...
but i agree with you on the 3rd and 4th season - though i still loved them because i just love the whole crew, the storyline was pretty boring, especially the xindie one. there were only a very few episodes of season 3 that i actually really enjoyed!
@WiAmp Someone may have yelled at you about this in the two years since you posted, but T'pol didn't visit Earth in the 1950's. It was her great-grandmother. The character was played by the same actress in the flashbacks, but it wasn't actually T'pol. She made that very clear in the opening scene. I'm just a geek trying to help a fellow geek stay geeky! :-)
@Alphawolfgang But T'Pol is 66 years old, she says so in "Zero Hour" meaning she was born in 2088 or 2089. Couldn't have been her, but I am willing to bet the purse was just passed down as a family heirloom along with the story.
@Alphawolfgang I have to respectfully disagree with you, Alpha, and agree with @ThalionFae. In this episode Trip says "Sputnik was 200 years ago." Vulcans live about that long, give or take a few years. T'Mir looks to be at least an adult, 30 - 40 years old. If it really was T'Pol who sold Velcro to the patent office, she'd be coming up on 290 years old. If she COULD live that long, she wouldn't look like a 34-year-old Jolene Blalock.
I do find it illogical that T'Pol still has the purse from her second foremother. If she was sentimental enough to keep it, it makes no sense that she would bring it along on an assignment that originally was only supposed to last a few days.
They almost hung on... almost! If Scott hadn't mentioned the 100-150 lifespan, I think Connor would have stayed on track... or not! YOU SUCK! I love that!
Yeah. Think about it. D.U.I. is one crime that Vulcan who stayed behind on Earth would NEVER have been arrested for. They even LOOK sober when drunk. No staggering, no slurred speech, NOTHIN'. How the heck would a cop know?
See, if you watch the episode, you'll notice that they're always filling and refilling each other's wineglasses. And, since synthehol doesn't exist in the 22nd century, I think we can safely assume that this is probably what might have 'really' happened.
They are so adorkable!! Both when they're 'acting' and when they are all laughing. Joelene's laugh is so infectious and Scott's first 'you suck!' was so cute.
Sadly, no. I'm not sure if it ever was intended for the episode. I've read that it was just a gag take they did, though it might have made a cute end to what was arguably the second season's best episode.
So Vulcan emotional control is so strong, even when they're stone drunk they look and sound sober?

This show should have taken more risks. Trip and Archer getting T'Pol drunk at the captain's table would have been hilarious.
