Also Ska/Punk like Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, No Doubt etc ('90's-present day).

You're missing something. There's a pretty long history to ska (from about 1958-60 on), and this is only so good of a general example. I'd give you a rundown, but wikipedia's already done it.

Try looking up the Slackers, Prince Buster, Bad Manners, the Specials, and Desmond Dekker and maybe you'll start to see it more.
