god i just love how the characters move.. it gives you the illusion that theyre actually running really fast... and OH i hate the backs of those bloody monkeys. i remember how there was some annoying monkey after an incredibly wrong sequence.. with barrels rolling down a hill.. and you needed to jump over on the barrels to get to the monkey... and if you fell you had to run back quite a bit.. DAMN i was frustrated as a child..

I truly believe this game was one of the last of it's kind... Due to limitations and new cutting edge technology showing up so often developers had to be creative. This is such a simple, yet such a broad concept for a game, catching monkeys!

this is my favourite ps1 game, i played it to the core back in the day finished everything. the 2nd was ok but i like this one more, level designs r great music is decent, story keeps u playing. u can skip monkeys, i hated the one in dark ruins , super high alert, highly defensive, n is a bastard to get. once got him, i cracked open a victory coke

Almost enough to reduce me to tears =] this and croc: legend of the gobbos are my favourite games of all time,

people get too distracted with todays games to remember these platformer built the foundations of many games today.

Apart from the voices being totally wrong (silly american dub >_<) this is awesome, thank you for uploading

the first time i played this game was when my mother borrowed it from a video store, along with bomberman.

i dont think i will ever forget this game, i was playing it while the cops were going berzerk outside my house and its also the main reason i spent most of my early school days (allegedly sick) at home.

This is the one game that probably effected my childhood the most. I remember spending almost an hour trying to get up to that rocket on the first level. The game had such great environments and level design, which made it so much fun to explore.

It was so well made and the game was so long and I enjoyed every bit of it and when i finished the game, even catching all the remaining monkeys and beating spectar,

I had wished the game coninued, and the minigames wer fun as hell,

and the background music they had in most places immersed me into the game so much more. And the english voice overs were way better
