No, I'm not a bigot I just find that the existing belief systems encourage division.

But essentially they all teach the same basic rules (the fundamentals of common law; dont steal, dont kill, and try to be a good person in accordance with your time).

Actually in answer to your question, yes, I come from a Christian family, however my father is more agnostic and my mother converted (if you can convert to it) to Buddhism about 15 years ago.

I spent a large portion of my younger years pursuing a faith in Christ, but when I begun studying history and politics, my perspective on scripture changed.

I would assume that cells can form if they could create a single cell in the lab.

Until then, it sounds ridiculous to me. Genetic similarities are not enough. Fossil sequences of only 10-20 fossils is not enough. I can't watch an animal build a new arm and the fossil record says creatures that exist today look the same as they did 100-140 million years ago. Retroviruses are interesting and I'll look into that but I need something powerful to believe something so ridiculous.

I don't see how that proves anything though. If a person is considering both options, life by design or life by chance, then I don't think they would have a problem with the designer re-using his designs in different creatures. Similarities in bone structure and genetics aren't really proof in this case.

I guess it just seems more logical to me to believe that there is a designer because I do not believe you can just create machines by chance. I've never seen it happen and it sounds ridiculous. That makes sense and I think I get what you are saying but I believe it's impossible for it to happen by chance. The "big bang" just happened to produce laws that guided the expansion of matter which spread about and created galaxies and orbits. Then somehow, DNA, the most advanced info storage system we know of somehow gets produced by random or "naturalistic" forces that are capable of creating biological machines. Even if evolution is true, I would still believe in a designer.

God made a covenant with Abraham essentially saying that his descendants would become a great nation. The new covenant is his promise to us that through Jesus we can be saved. Hi there, and thank you for writing me, I think I know were u are comming from, but i keep searching, and serching, and I ave never found the love of a fellowship like the way I felt when i was in that church, I would give anyting, just to feel that comfort and safety and OMG,, so fuffiled, the way I did that summer that I was in Del City ok.
