only 1 question why you don't use onions in your dishes if we add onion in these dishes it could taste different

  • @InSaNeKiLLa001

    This is a personal choice,

  • @InSaNeKiLLa001 Because she's jain, I think. But her recipes are so scrumptious.

  • i dont prefer using the oven is there an other way to finish this biriyani instead of baking it?

  • @MsKijaro you can use microwave cook for 15 minutes

  • thank u auntyji u r a gr8 help.

  • manjula behn YOU ROCK!!!

  • Thanks so much,

  • damn, that is a long long procedure, need to put in atleast and hour and a half

  • @ericcartmansh

thats the secret of Indian cooking:)

  • What's paneer? Sorry Im not Indian.

  • tofu

  • unaged, acid-set, non-melting farmer cheese made by curdling heated milk with lemon juice or other food acid

    or simply

    fresh cheese (not sour)

  • cottage cheese

  • cottage cheese, indian variety

  • tofu

  • Thank you Aunty

  • Cant wait to try this. Aunty, you truly rock! Thanks for posting.

  • Manjula Ben,

    Thank you very much

    Regards

  • Presentation is wonderfully timed, with slow pace of usage of words and good usage of the camera to cover the ingredients being discussed; ideally suited to allow maximum viewership and understanding of the recipe. Thanks for being thoughtful of the basic video rules and presenting it nicely.

Now, vegetable biriyani can be prepared easily and taste delicious, depending upon how thoughtful one prepares to make the dish interesting.

    thanka a lot!!!

    .

  • Wow looks good

  • Hi i have tried this recipe but with frozen mixed vege, turned out great, thanks...my husband is a vegetarian and he loved this dish.

  • I don't like tasting whole cumin seeds, i always freshly ground them before use, another delicious recipe from Aunty Manjulas thank you again

  • Aunty ji kamaaal kardi!! Maza aageya

  • Thank you for showing the recipe. Can you also post a recipe for vegan biryani, i.e. without yoghurt, milk or butter?

    thanks in advance.

  • I'm vegan, and I generally substitute any kind of plant milk (almond, soy, rice) for the milk, use soy yogourt (or a preparation made from plant milk, tapioca starch and lemon juice), and for the butter one could use a good margarine like Earth Balance, or coconut oil. Hope this helps.

  • thank you

  • Is asofetedia optional?, i can not find it.

  • you can do without asofetida.

  • hi aunty ji,

My oven is old type oven it doesnt have timer, in that case how will i know when and how much time to set the heat

  • thanks auntiji...as usual gr8 recipe...just one query --did you cook the rice fully or was it semi done as it will get cooked more when we put it in the oven!

  • Rice was fully cooked.

  • dreamygirl, I believe that Jains don't eat onions or garlic. However, asafoetida has a distinct taste and fragrance that more than compensates for the lack of such "stimulating" vegetables. They're believed to prevent a serene, calm mind.

This is true not only of Jains, but other religions as well.

  • Hello Manjula, prior to serving, should we mix the rice and vegetables? the biryani i eat in indian restaurants are almost always mixed completely to a uniform color, whereas none of the recipes online talk about mixing at the end.

  • I like to serve without mixing.

  • Beautiful dish!! Thx for posting.

  • all ya good dishes are AWESOME! Thanx aunti ji for sharin' with us all! = )

  • I love your video's, thank you Manjula!

  • Oh thank you thank you! I am making this tomorrow!

  • Hello auntie,do you have a recipe for Mint Raita? and coconut chutney and thanks for all your wonderful recipes..my husband is pleased

  • plain whipped yogurt with salt, black pepper, and dry mint.

  • I made this for dinner for my girlfriend. I substituted 2 cloves garlic and a half a yellow onion for the asefoetida. My rice was wet and mushy, but everything else worked out like in the video. I thought it was delicious, and my girlfriend has been telling me how amazing it was for the last half hour. Thanks!

  • thanks auntie

  • Namaste Manjula Ji..You are doing So Great Job 4 Us..GOD Bless You..

  • Hi,

Are the cashew nuts raw, roasted, toasted or salted?

  • By the look of it I think that the cashews are unsalted and raw, and since it is a bake dish, the cooking process will cook the cashews. But is more to ones liking.

  • Thank You for continuing to post your video recipes. They are always great and I enjoy every one.

  • What is the difference between a pullao and a biryani?

  • Method of cooking
