@london1817 You're an emotional manipulator, i don't care if it "breaks my heart" to do this so stop trying to put things on me. There are other ways to keep predators out. You could at least put a less powerful fence (like a wooden fence) within the electric fence so your goats won't get mildly shocked. You don't care about your goats so you might as well spend $5 on some cheap wood to put within the actual electric fence, it's better than getting shocked every time they go near the damn thing.

@Vivaswaq Well I had a wooden fence and had a wild dog dig under it and got in my back yard that was setioned off for my chickens and rabbits & my oldest cat got chased down and ripped his guts out.....I found him under a pile of 2x4's a couple days later and I was very hurt & mad.....so now I have a fence that will keep out wild dogs/ predators......the animals are used to it and stay away from it....I have pet cemetary for all my pets that have gotting killed from predators.

There can be plenty of need for an electric fence, goats are incredibly intelligent when it comes to escaping. It looks like they're getting more hurt than what they are, but goats can scream and run like that if you a make a loud noise. This morning I watched my 3 goats very calmly and slowly crawl under my electric fence without flinching. My mini isn't a great jumper, so he digs holes with his horns to get out of a yard. Trust me, if you have goats, you'll try anything to keep them in.
