  • I am Kenyan and used to Listen to this song in a Radio program called 'sun downer!' Thanks so Much for posting it. Does anyone know where i can get the words of the song? it will be deeply appreciated.

  • got a mill comments cant even comprehend one...awe...goddess

  • Caught By A Lying Smile was my favourite. Although the album was in English, it was released in Holland and given the fan base there, I'm surprised they didn't release it on CD. I think Across the Water was her last UK-released album. Given she was the top female UK artist of 1972 I'm surprised she had no CD releases at all in the UK. I'm still waiting for a whole bunch of downloads...

  • @Garry7778 Your correct on all counts there Garry. All Vicky's UK fans are baffled by the lack of releases here.Maybe she should have toured here during her more popular era 1972-74,but one can understand why she concentrated more on her German,French,Dutch and Greek markets.I suspect this was driven more by her father's influence.Nevertheless more English language recordings between 1978-1985 would have been welcome.

  • @mrrayjd Thanks for your reply. I think Vicky struggled to promote her singles on Radio 2 while she was wasn't heard on Radio One. In Europe she released good singles to a younger market. She also suffered from a poor choice of single release. I think 'I Am What I Am' should've followed 'Come What May', instead, it was 'Country Freedom'. And when she released 'Danny Teach Me To Dance', they cut the smashing of plates, a vital part of the Euro-hit: 'Theo Wir Fahn Nach Lodz'.

  • I wish Vicky would release her magical albums from the seventies after her "Eurovision conquest in 1972" including this beautiful album in CD format. Vicky is in my opinion a lady of pure artistic genuis in the way she performs and surely this is better than the mundane stuff that passes for albums nowadays.

    Thanks for posting this!

    Kind Regards,

    Tony.

  • @CATMANDU77 I couldn't agree more Tony. Why those early to mid 70's English language albums have not been released on CD is a mystery to me. They would be huge sellers worldwide and so much better than constantly re issuing the hits.

  • Thanks-a-million for posting this song.I've been looking for this song for a lifetime.I Loooooove it.Thaaaaanks.

  • Beautiful, thanks a lot for posting.

  • Thank you for listening. The 'Love Is Alive' album is certainly one that deserves a CD release.
