@DrMahanbirSingh I don't think qinoa grows in India at all, so there's no name 4 it.in the Indian languages. But it is, like, cousin of chaulai (the seel ke laddu we eat in Punjab). I have looked for this info 4 several yrs, & not found the name. Pls share with us if u find it.
The water in this, rule of thumb is quinoa needs 2.5 times of water to cook, & dal for this texture needs 3 or 4 times the water (all by volume)

@tanguera2007 did anyone answer you? you need to rinse the raw quinoa serveral times before cooking.

is it ok to combine two kinds of protein? Quinoa is full of protein and so is mung dal.
