The best house in Skyrim is in solitude. I absolutely love it. Perfect gameplay wise, well worth the 25,000 and the 10,000 in upgrades

Its alright but the manor in solitude is better. Golds not a problem theres an easy trick to get houses free.

There are some steps as soon as you enter Markarth on the right hand side then you can use the other set of steps that lead to the house, this is my favourite house, thumbs if ou like markarth :)

btw: there is a very easy route to go to your house from the main gate in markath.

Once entered, immediately go right, there is long stair going up. Then a short path and a 180 turn to right, up another stair. Really you will be in your house within 3-5 second. + the layout of the house is very convenient as it is just one level + sufficient boxes to store all your equipment in your bedroom. Not even sure if I want the solitude house to store my shit

Just wondering, does anyone else have a mannequin glitch? My house in Windhelm (with 3 mannequins) duplicates my items every time i take them off the mannequin. Although this is profitable, the item im duplicating is worth more than any shopkeeper can buy... Help?

There's a much more direct staircase up to the house, so yeah it would be a pain if the way you took was the only one. Unfortunately I would recommend the house, as the floor space is amazingly large for the price.
