Hello everyone, I have made a video in response, and also made comments, and look what I got, no response after using my name. I man up and said that Toby and Joe is right, not to use God's name in vain, and agreed. Yet, I get no response from them both. Don't I deserve a response from both of them? Yet no response, and wonder what they think now of me than Deafhood? People should stop oppression, and be equals with hearing people, and forgive each other.

Deafhood is not a religion group but they persevere its Deaf culture, language, and history which it is extremely important to the Deaf children to understand the oppression from the hand of professional audists. If Deafhood claims to be a religion group I will just always focus on Lord Jesus directly.

Hello everyone, I had no intention and didnt think twice that it would be like using God's name in vain. I totally agree with deafpcatoby that it's wrong to use God's name in vain. I was just passionate about the book "Deafhood" written by Dr Paddy Ladd, and had no intention to make Deafhood a religion, and It is not at all.. I am hoping you all still would be grateful that we discovered Deafhood thru Paddy Ladd, and make our Deaf Community a better place for all and overcome oppression.

But this one made my day both in content and in that there was a transcript so I was 100% able to understand what you said (granted I was reading the transcript) rather than just catching a word here or there.

I want to add another thought. If Deafhood was a religious order or organization and I would not touch this with a ten foot pole. Religion is a pure opiate for the masses. That is why I look upon Jesus and Yahweh instead.
Yes i agree with you. I do not agree people who use Deafhood as a religious. Deafhood, itself, is a process, an experience, knowledge and concept BUT not a religion.
I respect you as a christian person. I am spiritual, non-christian person. I find that appalling when some thinks DH is religion. I will not support that. DH is not political or religion statement but stand alone mission for wholeness & wellness of deaf person. nothing more or less. Someone try to associate DH to religion is looney.

But I think we can take a spiritual element from it in its message that it is good and ok to be Deaf, that sign language is God's gift to Deaf, that Deaf people have a brother/sisterhood in our Deaf identity, that we can be whole, healthy beings in of ourselves without having to try to become or act like Hearing people, etc.

Thank you for disagree with it. I felt resisted when someone said about Paddy as Jesus Savior bec of what he got from the children. Children didnt know any better that we shouldnt take advantage of it. I dont feel right about it because it s more of misusing the religious itself. I only will say Ladd Paddy in spelling name that should be use the proper name, not jesus or bible in ASL. I mentioned it in Joey Baer's vlog as I warned when I saw his lip movement. That s a big turn off for me.

@deafpcatoby I dont watch many Barrys vlogs for a good reason. He turned me off. Bunjer's vlog was kinda vague for his own reason as I strongly believe he was trying to get somebody to think hard as I think. Of course, Deafpcaptoby. I dont feel comfortable it made me resisted and discouraged about it.. Then I tried to input my simple thought in Joey Baer s vlog because I don't want to argue over it. @deafpcatoby Barry Sewell insulted basically everyone who chose to agree with the concept of Deafhood. That is not what God wants him to do. Barry Sewell wants everyone to join his closed society. He blocked everyone who disagrees with him so he can create a closed society of anti-Deafhood people.
@Equality4Deaf I know. Barry choices to do and block to people. I don't agree with him but there is nothing I can do about it. All I will do is just ignoring negative comments and focus on what is important. Some people don't get along with him while other people get along with him. Important you just be strong in what you believe.
@Equality4Deaf From what I understand that Barry has his job to do is to get everyone to respect everyone, he would jumped in there if anyone has disrespected one others, for example, Deafhood rejected Oralism, Hearing, etc, that is how he refused permit this because he believe respects eachother. I know Barry very well, and he truly work with and for Creator, Lot of people said lot things bad about Barry but actually it is not, he is very humbled person, and likes to help people.
@Equality4Deaf After studies and anaylsis, his visit at my home, and my visit at his home last three weeks, I stayed with him for 2 weeks, that is the way I see everyone got a wrong message about him, he never insulted but wanted to bring you on the table to make sure that we would respect eachother and treat fairness for any diversity people, no rejects, no hatre, etc. I now understood what it would be his mission. unfortately that lot of you has misunderstood or did not listen very carefully
@Equality4Deaf Barry are forced to block on specifically people, that wasted his time, remember that he would get thousand clicks on his vlogs, and many many comments, he wanted it simply and make sure that it is healthy discussions, but lot of people came to him and tried to destroy him, I have seen this terrible comments from those people, I do not blame him to block those people out to keep his screen more healthy for him to enjoy the vloggers. I did same, I blocked few people too.
well said -- as a Christian exploring Deafhood to better view how God may view Deaf people in positive ways rather than as deficient people that God made mistakes with, or for God's glory when curing them. It's time for us to present a fresh look at the Gospels from Deaf eyes.... I look forward to outcome of your and other Christians' process in this.
@ASLElla Christian exploring the Scripture is to have understanding what God wants us to do for him. Exploring the Deafhood is to have understanding being a Deaf person. That is two different ways. Many Christians believe Christ center rather than Deaf center. I agree. Like, what is our priority order of thinking in life. For example, 1. God, 2. wife, 3. myself, 4. Deaf, on and on. If God is number one in my life, then Deafhood would not be in same place but more likely in different place.

After vewing different people's comment about Deafhood and I strongly believe it is a metaphor related comment based on their experience being accepted by a group with similar beliefs. The term "savior" is meant to be saved from ignorance associated with a new thinking. Nothing to do with our Lord Jesus Christ even the children gave him the "Jesus" sign does not literally denote that he is the actual Savior. He may be the Lord-like of Deafhood to the Deafhood folks and nothing more.
@deaflinux I understand what you are trying to say. But still we should not use something apparent like we look at different God. Savior from what? From hearing people? I think not because God required us to love our enemies, meaning, anyone. Nothing that is our savior but only Jesus Christ. I would say differently than savior. Galatians 5:19-23- Too much hanging out at the clubs, drinking, smoking weed, cursing, lying, sleeping around, shacking up, etc., going on with IN the 'church! Here in St. Louis all different religion hospitals are under BJC Health Care (Barnes-Jewish Center). Most doctors donated to church/oral Deaf schools for tax reasons while they live in their own very huge fancy mansion home!

@deaflinux I appreciate this clarification. You are right on, in my opinion. I also would appreciate seeing more of Christ love in people who claim they are totally "dependent" on God to guide them. The Bible is really a book about LOVE, I believe. Someone pointed out to me the frequency of concept of love appearing compared to judgemental criticism...wow so huge difference and in favor of love. @ASLElla Another thing I learned was that several of the 12 disciples were "zealots" apparently fighting for freedom for Israel being under Roman occupation. Jesus chose those passionate people, and went further to challenge them not to place God above Zion, but did not STOP the fight. Jesus helped people see the bigger picture and know God LISTENS to the cries of oppressed people and works in mysterious ways in giving us "tastes of Heaven on Earth". MLK showed us ways to stand up without fear.

@deafster1 Yes, I know that verse, lot of people has interpret it wrong, what it mean is that while anyone become deafness, the purpose for the deafness to see it can be cursed by people, what I mean is that God wanted to see how those people deal with Deafness, blindness, handicapped, etc, often those people do not treat them so good. I guess we are that special to GOD for giving us the purposes. At the result, we would get double reward. May I ask you, are you using just one verse or (cont)

@DrDonGCSUS I understand what you are trying to say. The reason I said no to spiritual in Deafhood is because many people, who are not Christian, are dead in spiritual. See in Ephesians 2:1, "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins." Also in Romans 3 talked about none of us understand or righteous. How it can enlightening our inner soul if we don't have spirit? It is a better word is consciousness. Whatever we do in Deafhood comes from our consciousness.
@deafpcatoby Ok, I'm going to have to disagree with you on your Christianocentric view, which would mean that I, as a Jew (or a Hindu or Buddhist, or even atheist) cannot be spiritual, because we don't believe in Jesus as God. I do think we all can look to a creator/deity (or even just the universe and its grandness/cohesion), and appreciate our creator's gifts, and be spiritual, or aspire towards spirituality, without necessarily having to be part of a religion.

I want to add another thought. If Deafhood was a religious order or organization and I would not touch this with a ten foot pole. Religion is a pure opiate for the masses. That is why I look upon Jesus and Yahweh instead.

I respect you as a christian person. I am spiritual, non-christian person. I find that appalling when some thinks DH is religion. I will not support that. DH is not political or religion statement but stand alone mission for wholeness & wellness of deaf person. nothing more or less. Someone try to associate DH to religion is looney.

But I think we can take a spiritual element from it in its message that it is good and ok to be Deaf, that sign language is God's gift to Deaf, that Deaf people have a brother/sisterhood in our Deaf identity, that we can be whole, healthy beings in of ourselves without having to try to become or act like Hearing people, etc.

Thank you for disagree with it. I felt resisted when someone said about Paddy as Jesus Savior bec of what he got from the children. Children didnt know any better that we shouldnt take advantage of it. I dont feel right about it because it s more of misusing the religious itself. I only will say Ladd Paddy in spelling name that should be use the proper name, not jesus or bible in ASL. I mentioned it in Joey Baer's vlog as I warned when I saw his lip movement. That s a big turn off for me.

@deafpcatoby I dont watch many Barrys vlogs for a good reason. He turned me off. Bunjer's vlog was kinda vague for his own reason as I strongly believe he was trying to get somebody to think hard as I think. Of course, Deafpcaptoby. I dont feel comfortable it made me resisted and discouraged about it.. Then I tried to input my simple thought in Joey Baer s vlog because I don't want to argue over it. I mean Paddy Ladd or Ladd, Paddy so you ll know. Ella made it clear so I agree now..

Of course, sometime I agree with him, sometime I don't. He could do better in his vlog but it is his choice. I don't take some lightly if it offends God. Barry or someone has not offends God. @Equality4Deaf From what I understand that Barry has his job to do is to get everyone to respect everyone, he would jumped in there if anyone has disrespected one others, for example, Deafhood rejected Oralism, Hearing, etc, that is how he refused permit this because he believe respects eachother. I know Barry very well, and he truly work with and for Creator, Lot of people said lot things bad about Barry but actually it is not, he is very humbled person, and likes to help people.

@Equality4Deaf After studies and anaylsis, his visit at my home, and my visit at his home last three weeks, I stayed with him for 2 weeks, that is the way I see everyone got a wrong message about him, he never insulted but wanted to bring you on the table to make sure that we would respect eachother and treat fairness for any diversity people, no rejects, no hatre, etc. I now understood what it would be his mission. unfortately that lot of you has misunderstood or did not listen very carefully

@Equality4Deaf Barry are forced to block on specifically people, that wasted his time, remember that he would get thousand clicks on his vlogs, and many many comments, he wanted it simply and make sure that it is healthy discussions, but lot of people came to him and tried to destroy him, I have seen this terrible comments from those people, I do not blame him to block those people out to keep his screen more healthy for him to enjoy the vloggers. @ASLElla Christian exploring the Scripture is to have understanding what God wants us to do for him. Exploring the Deafhood is to have understanding being a Deaf person. That is two different ways. Many Christians believe Christ center rather than Deaf center. I agree. Like, what is our priority order of thinking in life. For example, 1. God, 2. wife, 3. myself, 4. Deaf, on and on. If God is number one in my life, then Deafhood would not be in same place but more likely in different place.

My position from my own personal spiritual journey is that being Deaf is a gift but again Christian history shows us it's full of free thinking and debates. After vewing different people's comment about Deafhood and I strongly believe it is a metaphor related comment based on their experience being accepted by a group with similar beliefs. The term "savior" is meant to be saved from ignorance associated with a new thinking. Nothing to do with our Lord Jesus Christ even the children gave him the "Jesus" sign does not literally denote that he is the actual Savior. He may be the Lord-like of Deafhood to the Deafhood folks and nothing more.

@deaflinux I understand what you are trying to say. But still we should not use something apparent like we look at different God. Savior from what? From hearing people? I think not because God required us to love our enemies, meaning, anyone. Nothing that is our savior but only Jesus Christ. I would say differently than savior. I would not consider Deafhood " like a religious because Deafhood cannot save us and bring us to heaven. It is a theory, culture, experience, etc.

@deaflinux, some religious doctors should STOP PLAYING GOD and Church!!!! Galatians 5:19-23- Too much hanging out at the clubs, drinking, smoking weed, cursing, lying, sleeping around, shacking up, etc., going on with IN the 'church! Here in St. Louis all different religion hospitals are under BJC Health Care (Barnes-Jewish Center). Most doctors donated to church/oral Deaf schools for tax reasons while they live in their own very huge fancy mansion home!

@deaflinux I appreciate this clarification. You are right on, in my opinion. I also would appreciate seeing more of Christ love in people who claim they are totally "dependent" on God to guide them. The Bible is really a book about LOVE, I believe. Someone pointed out to me the frequency of concept of love appearing compared to judgemental criticism...wow so huge difference and in favor of love. Need to refresh the accurate information tho.

Bunjer gaves a bad impression for Deafhood, therefore I cannot get involved with this Deafhood WHY again? because GOD has already promised us that we will hear again, why worried about deafness. @ASLElla Another thing I learned was that several of the 12 disciples were "zealots" apparently fighting for freedom for Israel being under Roman occupation. Jesus chose those passionate people, and went further to challenge them not to place God above Zion, but did not STOP the fight. Jesus helped people see the bigger picture and know God LISTENS to the cries of oppressed people and works in mysterious ways in giving us "tastes of Heaven on Earth". MLK showed us ways to stand up without fear.

@deafster1 Yes, I know that verse, lot of people has interpret it wrong, what it mean is that while anyone become deafness, the purpose for the deafness to see it can be cursed by people, what I mean is that God wanted to see how those people deal with Deafness, blindness, handicapped, etc, often those people do not treat them so good. @DrDonGCSUS I understand what you are trying to say. The reason I said no to spiritual in Deafhood is because many people, who are not Christian, are dead in spiritual. See in Ephesians 2:1, "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins." Also in Romans 3 talked about none of us understand or righteous. How it can enlightening our inner soul if we don't have spirit? It is a better word is consciousness. Whatever we do in Deafhood comes from our consciousness.

@deafpcatoby Ok, I'm going to have to disagree with you on your Christianocentric view, which would mean that I, as a Jew (or a Hindu or Buddhist, or even atheist) cannot be spiritual, because we don't believe in Jesus as God. I do think we all can look to a creator/deity (or even just the universe and its grandness/cohesion), and appreciate our creator's gifts, and be spiritual, or aspire towards spirituality, without necessarily having to be part of a religion.
